Hannah Davis: We got married a few weeks ago and we are so incredibly happy with our decision to have our reception at The Grain Exchange. Maria and Christean were phenomenal to work with - from the initial consultation through the day of the event. Everything, from the gorgeous room to the fantastic food to the flow of events, was spectacular. I had many people comment that the food was the best they've had at a wedding. That's what you get with Bartolotta's! The day was above and beyond what we had hoped for and we can't recommend the team at The Grain Exchange highly enough.

Andrew Ferguson: We absolutely loved having our event at The Box, and planning with Jamie Berger and Levine was such a treat! We originally had our wedding celebration planned for May of 2020, then due to covid moved to October 2020, then once again to October of 2021. They could not have been more accommodating for us moving our event 2x, during a time where their business I am sure was taking a hit due to the pandemic. Both Jamie’s were always incredibly responsive and accommodating to whatever we needed during the whole process.When it came the day of, they came in even a bit earlier than our contract time to make sure the band could setup on time. During the actual event, I don’t think it could have possibly gone smoother than it did. Our manager Katelynn had everything under control, the bartenders were great and our guests never had to wait for a drink, and when it came tear down time Katelynn had helped pack all of our decorations so we could continue to go and enjoy ourselves.Thanks again to both Jamie and Jaime for helping us have such an amazing day, and would 1000% recommend using The Box for any sort of event.
Cathy Fischer: We hosted our daughter's wedding ceremony at The Box this past weekend. Working with Jamie Berger was an absolute joy. She was so accommodating, had great insight for setup and was so helpful with decisions at Rehearsal and a major player on Wedding Day. Jamie has a warm personality mixed with humor that chased all my anxiety away. We had a wedding party of 16 in addition to the Bride and Groom and had seating for 170 at the Ceremony and the venue was plenty spacious. I would highly recommend The Box for an event and couldn't be more pleased with our experience.
Cindy Cooper: Can’t rave enough about having my daughter’s wedding at The Box last weekend! I worked with Jamie Berger so I knew I was in good hands. I can’t even imagine all the work that went into getting the space ready. All I know is that when we walked in I knew my daughter’s vision had come to life. Jamie nailed the ambience. The staff that night was excellent —- very quick to remove any dirty dishes or glasses. All seemed very friendly and dressed well. The bartenders were particularly fun. For me, it was a great experience from beginning to end. I highly recommend The Box!
Twaneka Greer: The Box Mke was the venue I used for my Grandma’s 90th Diamond Birthday Party and everything was amazing!! The venue is beautiful with the Cream City Brick wall and massive square footage. I worked with Jaime Levine. She was very attentive to all of the details for my Grandma’s special day. I appreciated her and Autumn’s assistance. I highly recommend this venue… as you won’t be disappointed!
Sam Boyle: Where do I begin? First of all, Jaime and her staff were very friendly and willing to work with us with everything going on with the pandemic. They were gracious enough to let us postpone our party until the following year which allowed us to get our whole family to the party. Leading up to the party, they helped us with everything we could think of along the way. From planning to catering to working with the band that we hired. My wife and I couldn't be happier with how everything went, and everyone that attended said they loved the venue. Highly recommend!
Amarii Hall: The Box is an absolute gem in the city of Milwaukee. Not only is it in the heart of downtown, but it also is the perfect venue for your next event. I love the versatility this space has and there is so much room for creativity. Being in contact with the owners and coordinators of the space has truly been an eventful experience and I would highly recommend getting to know them. My event was pushed back one day because of the Bucks finals and they were more than understanding, they were flexible. If you're looking for a space to have your event with a perfect set up and a welcoming environment, this is the place for you. 10/10, would recommend.

With this being a whole new experience for me, she made sure I had everything I needed and took care of everything behind the scenes. Grace Bosma: The Ivy House was the most beautiful place to have our wedding!! Our guests raved about the venue, the bartenders, the staff, and our event coordinator, Mandi! One of my bridesmaids told me she has never seen such a terrific coordinator! Mandi really did everything we wanted and when our champagne wall didn’t fit the glasses, they took it in back and fixed the wall to fit the glasses!! If you are looking for a low stress day, this is your venue! Our caterers also raved about how much they loved working with this venue. The venue is naturally gorgeous and required very little extra decor! The bridal suite was perfect and fun to get ready in! The suite is the size of an apt, has a kitchen, getting ready tables, etc. They even have a speaker already there. Our DJ, Charlie, did such an amazing job. Our guests loved the dancing music but also really loved the cocktail hour and dinner music. He really made it an experience for us and our guests.

Ben Kinsman: I attended a wedding at the Ivy house on October 29th, I was impressed with how smooth the day went from ceremony to restaurant. The amazing bar staff were on it, they were incredibly nice, kept the drinks going all night, and if something was spilled they were on top of it right away. As for the dance floor, I almost blew my back out dancing so hard. DJ Nick crushed it and kept the party going all night. Awesome Wedding venue!
Tyra Leonard: Beware of the train!!! This is one of my favorite wedding venues. I am a wedding photographer and I’m at venues every Saturday.It photographs beautifully and just checks all of the boxes in my opinion.But be aware of the railroad track right next to the venue. I did photograph a wedding there once where multiple trains went by during the ceremony so you couldn’t hear anything. We basically had to stop the ceremony.I would definitely still choose this venue. I would just be aware of the train and maybe have an indoor ceremony or look into that more.

Each space, no matter which you may choose will elevate you experience compared to your average venue. My wife says "it felt like a fairytale", with endless compliments from our wedding guests, we know this to be true.All of St. James 1868's suggested vendors also beat our expectations.Danielle our coordinator, made what could have been a strenuous process, a breeze. distinct person: Went to A Taylor Swift Tribute Concert. It was fantastic. I really don't know Taylor Swift songs that well but my date loves them. And to have them performed by a quartet in a candlelit setting was really original and special. Plus they had a "Travis Swift" specialty drink that was original and delicious. And idk if it happens all the time, but for the last 2 songs they let us sing along and take pics.The quartet was excellent. I loved their intros to the songs and the arrangements were great. I would have loved to talk to them afterwards and take some pics. But they disappeared right away. Waited around but they never came back.

Spencer Berglund: went above and beyond in every respect in terms of planning and execution. Not just for us but for our guests as well! We received numerous compliments on choosing the venue and just how helpful all the staff was from start to finish. Very spacious and great flow in the room overall. Would highly recommend to any couple looking for somewhere special to host their momentous big day. You won’t regret it!

She made the planning process feel less overwhelming and was super helpful in facilitating the evening! Our guests were super impressed by the space and being able to bring in our own caterer was appreciated as we had a shoestring budget. We will definitely use this venue again in the future! Cannot recommend enough!
Benjamin Davis: The Filament was an incredible in just about every way. The aesthetic was exactly what we were looking for, the size was perfect for our wedding of 160, and the staff was amazing. Our day-of coordinator Olivia was instrumental in keeping us on track with our schedule while making sure we had the perfect day. The bartenders were friendly and professional, keeping our guests well hydrated all night, and even helping us pack up at the end of the reception. Our experience from start to finish could not have been better, we’d recommend this venue to anyone.

Nick was our coordinator and went above and beyond to make sure our big day went smoothly and most of importantly, that everyone had fun! They definitely have the wedding biz down pat and were flexible, provided excellent guidance and support in planning. The parking & bridal suite on site are available at an extra cost, it was SO convenient worth it. They work exclusively with Milwaukee Airwaves as their DJ, and after working with Kevin, we totally understand why! A big thanks to all the staff at Filament!!
Jesse Heaton: My wifeand I came here for a friend's wedding. The venue is quite nice except the location is a little sketchy. My wife and I witnessed the Kia Boyz breaking into a Kia parked in the lot and was owned by one of the reception guests. Be sure to plan for security of some sort.

P. Kahn: Fantastic venue for a wedding. Food was fantastic and the bar service was great. We had everyone drinking tequila gimlets by the end of the night as that is a go-to drink for us in the summer. Highly recommend if you're thinking of using this location. Sorry I don't have any pics.

They were very helpful throughout the process and on our wedding day. Nick Brenning was our wedding coordinator and he did a phenomenal job. He made sure to say yes to all our desires to make our day perfect! The Filament was straight forward with pricing. They had no extra “surprise” fees from start to end. Beautiful space. Jack Brenning, with Milwaukee Airwaves, was a great dj who catered to our desires. 10/10 recommend.
Valerie Halling: I recently planned a bridal photoshoot at Filament, and WOW, what a beautiful space! The cream city brick walls, overflowing greenery, big windows, and fun lighting makes for the perfect wedding venue. It's tucked away from the busy city streets, so it creates an intimate, cozy atmosphere. On top of all that, the people there are PHENOMENAL. The staff was so helpful every step of the way in making our event a success! I would absolutely recommend Filament to couples looking for a dreamy, industrial, Milwaukee wedding venue, and I hope to be back in the future!!

My husband and I started out communication with Marina when we first booked the venue and she was very sweet and always available to answer questions. Later on we worked with Tanner as our event coordinator. Tanner went above and beyond not only on the day of our wedding, but leading up to it to make sure everything was perfect. He is truly amazing! The bartenders along with the DJ through Milwaukee Airwaves kept the party going all night long. Can’t recommend this venue enough!

T C.: Saz’s and Michelle were so great to work with! Michelle made our wedding magical and made it so enjoyable for us and all of our guests. The space is large and accommodating and the loft space is a nice get away if needed. The food was amazing as well and we got many compliments! Forever grateful for this team!

The atmosphere was wood and iron with low lighting and while we were a group, this would be truly wonderful as a romantic night out for couples.

After the issues below, the owner contacted me to apologize and offered to refund me the cost of the piano inspection. I declined, but I admit that the owner did take the steps to correct the issue. If you see further issues from this business be wary, but I will give them the benefit of the doubt on this one.Previous 1 star review: They were selling a piano and had advertised it as "cabinet in very good condition a few minor chips, pin block no cracks, type [sic] tuning pins."They did not disclose it had a drink spilled in it, resulting in rusty strings, and that the sound board had 5 visible cracks. They are attempting to scam someone out of thousands of dollars.

Diane Kl: Absolutely gorgeous historical building, but with such a touch of elegance, flare and class! We I also love that everything took place in one building. They exchanged their wedding vows the chairs were all set up appropriately. it was a beautiful ceremony. Then we went on for cocktail hour. I’m not sure who the vendor was? But let me tell you it was a charcuterie full of aged cheeses, and all different kinds of Italian meats and sausages. Delicious scrumptious fig spreads with fresh fruit all different types of nuts of variety of different breads and crackers. Then approximately an hour later, it was dinner time. The curtains opened, and the bride and groom came bursting and dancing with the song of their choice and everyone welcomed them as a newly married couple. They danced one song, and then they announced it was time for dinner. Again the food was amazing. It was all Puerto Rican food. Everything from empanadas to Puerto Rican rice just absolutely delicious. I did also notice that the venue owner was going around and filling in wherever he could to help his staff. The staff was absolutely amazing. Clearing tables taking out garbage. I always saw them working extremely hard but they wouldn’t be noticed in the wedding at all.. I actually had a chance to meet with the new owner and he was extremely nice and I told him how beautiful the historic building was. This is definitely a beautiful venue to have your next wedding, baby or bridal shower, reunion, birthday party, or Anniversary party. You definitely want to get a hold of this place! You will not be disappointed!!. Absolutely gorgeous & stunning!!!!

I love how the historical integrity of the venue was kept intact despite their renovations. Rare to find free street parking, on-site parking lot and other public parking structures near by for guests. I had a good experience and will keep them in mind for future events.

Eleazar Maldoando: Nice venue
The Borg Cooking Show: Saw Bomber and Red, Modern Joey, and Wire and Nail here. The venue is super neat inside of an old warehouse. The cranes and large industrial beams still adorn the place. The acoustics are pretty good as well. The bar is located right next to the dance floor so you never miss a second of the music.There's also a nice grassy patio section outside for getting a breath of fresh air or rippin' a dart.Drink prices are not ridiculous $6 for wells, $9 for midtier hard liquor. They have a great beer selection and limited wine.

Patrick Betcher (Betcher Photo): The Cooperage is one of the great Milwaukee venues that sits a bit off the beaten path and offers all kinds of opportunities to enjoy all that it has to offer. As an area wedding photographer, I love when the couples I work with choose the Cooperage as it's super photogenic on its own and within a very short walking distance to all kinds of unique locations. It can accommodate indoor as well as outdoor ceremony options, both of which are beautiful. It's right on the river and has carved out its own identity down in that area. The rooftop access provides an unobstructed view of the Hoan as well as the the Lake behind it. There's also a really nice apartment attached to the property which acts as a really convenient and unique prep space. If you're not getting married there, might as well stop by the compound to grab some tacos at Taco Moto or grab a cocktail and some beers at Boone & Crockett. I look forward to being back there many times, as the team who run the events also do a fantastic job of keeping things tight and have always been very collaborative in the mission of providing a great experience to clients.

The venue itself is awesome, we got so many compliments on how cool the rustic cream city brick style was, as well as the moody lighting. We had 150 guests with an indoor ceremony and then room flip and it went very very well. The acoustics in the venue were very good, with the stage and venue being the perfect spot for a live band

Grace Foley: I was here to see The Beaches last week and the venue itself is wonderful! Small place but it felt big enough for a small concert. Outside of the venue, there were a few food trucks that look like they are there year round. And there was free parking too!

Dennis Besaw: Attended a wedding at The Miller Room, it is a great location. The bar is well stocked, and the meal was fabulous. All the waitstaff are friendly and very attentive.
Alexandra V: We had our wedding reception at the Miller Room and it was wonderful! The staff at Zilli Hospitality was extremely helpful and friendly, especially Roxann and Deanna. The food at our dinner was so delicious - almost everyone told us it was the best wedding dinner they’ve ever had. The views and ambience are both amazing.
