Each space, no matter which you may choose will elevate you experience compared to your average venue. My wife says "it felt like a fairytale", with endless compliments from our wedding guests, we know this to be true.All of St. James 1868's suggested vendors also beat our expectations.Danielle our coordinator, made what could have been a strenuous process, a breeze. distinct person: Went to A Taylor Swift Tribute Concert. It was fantastic. I really don't know Taylor Swift songs that well but my date loves them. And to have them performed by a quartet in a candlelit setting was really original and special. Plus they had a "Travis Swift" specialty drink that was original and delicious. And idk if it happens all the time, but for the last 2 songs they let us sing along and take pics.The quartet was excellent. I loved their intros to the songs and the arrangements were great. I would have loved to talk to them afterwards and take some pics. But they disappeared right away. Waited around but they never came back.

Stephen Hudson: Fantastic, first time inside the building and it's gorgeous. Bartolotta catering made the food at every station delicious. Also, there was little to no waiting, which is common for mothers day brunches. That alone made it worth the price.

Hannah Davis: We got married a few weeks ago and we are so incredibly happy with our decision to have our reception at The Grain Exchange. Maria and Christean were phenomenal to work with - from the initial consultation through the day of the event. Everything, from the gorgeous room to the fantastic food to the flow of events, was spectacular. I had many people comment that the food was the best they've had at a wedding. That's what you get with Bartolotta's! The day was above and beyond what we had hoped for and we can't recommend the team at The Grain Exchange highly enough.

Sarah: Honest review- We cannot express how perfect our day was at Birch. Our ceremony was outdoors in the courtyard,-it was so beautiful with the string lights, elegant chiavari chairs, and greenery. Perfect for something more intimate. The interior space is gorgeous on its own and doesn't need much added décor. You are welcomed into the space with a rustic bar, cream city brick, and modern lighting. We were originally discouraged about the McDonald's across the street being visible and the traffic noise. Neither were an issue!! The music drowned out any outside noise and the space was so nice you don't even notice the next door business. Trees and all the bushes cover much of North ave. Besides the setting, the services were wonderful. They worked very well with all the vendors to make it all come together. Ray, was our contact and he was so pleasant and we felt assured working with him. Lori, was on site in the evening and attended to all requests. We loved most that they made it all easy. We also went with sound by design as a package deal. All around excellent. Thank you again to all who made our day perfect.Best,Sarah and Blake

Emma Abler: We could not have asked for a better place to host our wedding reception. Amy, the venue coordinator, was excellent throughout the entire wedding plan process. The day of the wedding went smoothly, and we have to thank all of the staff for their support, thought, and care for our event. Many of our family and friends complimented us on our wedding reception, and we will cherish the special day we had at Story Hill Fire House.

Natalie Mills: We found Story Hill Firehouse for our small, intimate wedding with our parents. The venue itself has so much charm and history, but Amy completely sold us. It's one thing to find the perfect venue, but you also need to find the perfect person to work with to help bring your dreams to light. Amy is an absolute gem. Incredibly personable, professional, and genuinely excited to help make your day beautiful. We had a very small gathering and she never made us feel like our event was any less important than the larger events. She truly took care of us and we cannot be more grateful to have found her and Story Hill Firehouse for our special day. Thank you a million times over.

Kevin Golliher: We used this venue for my sister's memorial service. It was a great atmosphere, the space has great character. The staff was friendly and helpful, even when we couldn't get people to leave on time. My mother uses a walker and it was a little rough getting her into the building. Once inside she was fine, including a handicapped bathroom on the main floor. I would book this venue again.
Michelle: We recently rented out the boat house for our small fall wedding and it's a great location and a great price. We would rent here again in the future. It's also a great way to support the park systems we all love to enjoy

Shannon Marusik (Countdowntocampingseason): What an experience in the heart of Milwaukee! Great host, nice, safe setting complete with authentic tacos and real margaritas. They did an excellent job and my group couldn't have been happier with then end result of our board painting and dinner. Excellent value for this experience. A true gem.
Milwaukee Towns Collectibles: 4 & 3/4 stars, food was delicious & love the whole restaurant but always thinking there is room to improve & develop new dishes. First time I have ate @ “RedTaco” kind pricey, but you get what you pay for. Definitely feel like I could keep talking about this place, plenty more to try on the extended menu.
Shira Mizel: This place and the staff are fantastic! I came here as part of a girls trip for my birthday and they were wonderful to work with. We had a private class with Francesca and it was a blast! Most of us had never really painted but somehow we all went home with a great looking painting. The catering from Red Tacos went super smoothly and it was lovely to eat amazing Mexican food while we waited for the canvases to dry. Highly recommend for your next event!

But anyway, if you're looking for more to do than just sit in a bar or watch TV, this is definitely recommended. No experience or skill required. I have already registered for a class during Frida Fest in July. Looking forward to more classes. I would make this at least monthly outing when more classes are able to be scheduled. Benjamin Greenwood: My boyfriend and I went here back in October and loved it so much we ended up coming back there every other day for coffee. We even took the tour and had a much more fun time than either of us expected. I've been coming to this place on and off for awhile for the never-disappointing coffee courtesy of Anodyne, and I would be quick to recommend this cafe to anyone staying in the Pabst district. Nothing beats the charm of this place.I will keep those memories of our days watching the hands of autumn fall on Milwaukee with him forever in my heart.

Linda Stamp: I attended a wedding reception here recently and it was absolutely perfect. Such a cool venue, I'd highly recommend this place for your special celebration! The grounds looked cool too but the weather didn't permit us to explore. Beautiful outdoor patio.

Danielle Bernier: The venue was beautiful! Adam and Sara were great to work with and made everything super easy and simple. We loved the final set up and received numerous positive comments from our guests. It was great to have the farmhouse on the property to get ready and sleep at after the reception. The property was great and had plenty of awesome photo spots. Overall, we would highly recommend this wedding venue!

Michael Graeve: . Each sign has a screw next to the pin placement on the map so there is no guessing where the basket is.The course wraps around in a giant oval. Getting lost here would take some serious effort.This is a pay to play course. If you don't have a yearly pass, you'll need to go to the chalet parking lot to get a daily pass. I recommend to get your monies worth out of the daily pass, play all 27 holes at that point.Because it is pay to play, the course is well maintained with little to no garbage on this 9 hole section. Baskets are moved frequently as well, giving different looks and options when playing here multiple times throughout the year.The course gets busy on nicer days but the majority of users practice good etiquette and usually let you pass if need be. Early mornings are a great time play.

José Francisco Bravo: I found out about Onesto while I was living in Milwaukee for a year. From the very first night it has always been an amazing experience. The servers are always very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. The food is absolutely amazing. You can definitely taste the freshness and the quality of the ingredients, the kitchen staff must definitely be passionate about what they create. We recently went for an anniversary dinner, and it was just as amazing as always. Highly recommend if you’re in Milwaukee!
