T C.: Saz’s and Michelle were so great to work with! Michelle made our wedding magical and made it so enjoyable for us and all of our guests. The space is large and accommodating and the loft space is a nice get away if needed. The food was amazing as well and we got many compliments! Forever grateful for this team!

Food stations were spaced throughout and we sat and sampled the different options. Food was very good, the consultants stopped at each table to answer questions. It really helped us narrow down our menu selection. It is a nice venue and well organized.

After the issues below, the owner contacted me to apologize and offered to refund me the cost of the piano inspection. I declined, but I admit that the owner did take the steps to correct the issue. If you see further issues from this business be wary, but I will give them the benefit of the doubt on this one.Previous 1 star review: They were selling a piano and had advertised it as "cabinet in very good condition a few minor chips, pin block no cracks, type [sic] tuning pins."They did not disclose it had a drink spilled in it, resulting in rusty strings, and that the sound board had 5 visible cracks. They are attempting to scam someone out of thousands of dollars.

Andrew Ferguson: We absolutely loved having our event at The Box, and planning with Jamie Berger and Levine was such a treat! We originally had our wedding celebration planned for May of 2020, then due to covid moved to October 2020, then once again to October of 2021. They could not have been more accommodating for us moving our event 2x, during a time where their business I am sure was taking a hit due to the pandemic. Both Jamie’s were always incredibly responsive and accommodating to whatever we needed during the whole process.When it came the day of, they came in even a bit earlier than our contract time to make sure the band could setup on time. During the actual event, I don’t think it could have possibly gone smoother than it did. Our manager Katelynn had everything under control, the bartenders were great and our guests never had to wait for a drink, and when it came tear down time Katelynn had helped pack all of our decorations so we could continue to go and enjoy ourselves.Thanks again to both Jamie and Jaime for helping us have such an amazing day, and would 1000% recommend using The Box for any sort of event.
Cathy Fischer: We hosted our daughter's wedding ceremony at The Box this past weekend. Working with Jamie Berger was an absolute joy. She was so accommodating, had great insight for setup and was so helpful with decisions at Rehearsal and a major player on Wedding Day. Jamie has a warm personality mixed with humor that chased all my anxiety away. We had a wedding party of 16 in addition to the Bride and Groom and had seating for 170 at the Ceremony and the venue was plenty spacious. I would highly recommend The Box for an event and couldn't be more pleased with our experience.
Cindy Cooper: Can’t rave enough about having my daughter’s wedding at The Box last weekend! I worked with Jamie Berger so I knew I was in good hands. I can’t even imagine all the work that went into getting the space ready. All I know is that when we walked in I knew my daughter’s vision had come to life. Jamie nailed the ambience. The staff that night was excellent —- very quick to remove any dirty dishes or glasses. All seemed very friendly and dressed well. The bartenders were particularly fun. For me, it was a great experience from beginning to end. I highly recommend The Box!

Sam Boyle: Where do I begin? First of all, Jaime and her staff were very friendly and willing to work with us with everything going on with the pandemic. They were gracious enough to let us postpone our party until the following year which allowed us to get our whole family to the party. Leading up to the party, they helped us with everything we could think of along the way. From planning to catering to working with the band that we hired. My wife and I couldn't be happier with how everything went, and everyone that attended said they loved the venue. Highly recommend!
Amarii Hall: The Box is an absolute gem in the city of Milwaukee. Not only is it in the heart of downtown, but it also is the perfect venue for your next event. I love the versatility this space has and there is so much room for creativity. Being in contact with the owners and coordinators of the space has truly been an eventful experience and I would highly recommend getting to know them. My event was pushed back one day because of the Bucks finals and they were more than understanding, they were flexible. If you're looking for a space to have your event with a perfect set up and a welcoming environment, this is the place for you. 10/10, would recommend.

Benjamin Greenwood: My boyfriend and I went here back in October and loved it so much we ended up coming back there every other day for coffee. We even took the tour and had a much more fun time than either of us expected. I've been coming to this place on and off for awhile for the never-disappointing coffee courtesy of Anodyne, and I would be quick to recommend this cafe to anyone staying in the Pabst district. Nothing beats the charm of this place.I will keep those memories of our days watching the hands of autumn fall on Milwaukee with him forever in my heart.

Mallory O'Halloran: I cannot express enough as to how wonderful our wedding was at the Performing Arts Center! Lynn and the PAC team are timely, efficient, and patient. Being a COVID-19 couple, we had to switch our day from April to October. They changed everything around in less than 24 hours without any issues. The food is absolutely fabulous. If you can swing it, get a signature drink! Our guests were thrilled with the space. Also, working with Lynn was such a joy. She is kind and an expert at her job. Thank you to Lynn & the PAC team for making our wedding day the best day of our lives!!
Carolyn Duff: While it wasn’t the easiest process getting there, we had an absolutely wonderful wedding at the Marcus Center! The venue itself is so lovely. We fell in love with ivy covered Fitch Gardens, the balcony overlooking the river, and the ceiling lights that added fun character to the classic ballroom space for our reception. We weren't able to use Fitch Gardens for our ceremony due to the weather, but the weather backup space is beautiful as well and we were really happy with it. Our guests RAVED about the food - one said we served the best steak he's ever had in his life!For the most part all of the staff was great and very helpful. We planned our wedding during COVID19 and I believe that took a toll on the communication and organization during the planning process. Early on, Lynn and Karin assured me that I didn’t need to hire a wedding planner because they would handle everything and it wouldn’t be necessary, but I think I would have felt a lot more comfortable with a planner to help. I worked with Lynn and while she worked really hard to make my wedding perfect, I never felt completely secure that things were on track or that we were on the same page. Wedding planning is stressful and I would have appreciated some more guidance throughout the process instead of having to initiate check ins and next steps myself. While I’m sure that COVID19 provided some challenges on her end too, I often heard her admit to being unsure of something because she hadn’t had a wedding in a while, or just being overwhelmed in general. At one point two of our groomsmen were frantically handling a responsibility at the wedding that Lynn assured me she would take care of.Overall it was an amazing wedding and I wouldn’t change a thing. I’d highly recommend the Marcus Center and Sazamas catering but be prepared to take charge and over communicate as you’re planning!

Lynn and the team at Sazama’s reached out immediately and were more than willing to help us come up with alternative options. We can’t thank Lynn and the Sazama’s team enough for all of their help, support, and willingness to work with us! Our experience was so positive despite everything going on. We would love to work with Lynn again in the future. The MPAC venue is beautiful!

I would highly recommend this venue as well as the Sazama’s catering company. We had a great experience working with Lynn, she answered emails within hours, she was knowledgeable, and patient with the bombardment of questions I was constantly throwing her way. Our guest were amazed by the room, the overall presentation was gorgeous. The food was unbelievable and definitely earned us many compliments from our guests. So amazed by all the support, great people, great food, great experience overall!

Rachel Fox: I cannot recommend a place more highly than the Sazama's team at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts. Everything about the process was stress-free and professional. It was clear that they had years of experience and dedicated staff. We did not have a wedding planner and we had a 230+ person wedding. Lynn with Sazama's made sure every detail was thought of and attended to. She was kind and flexible and had a calming way about her. Planning a wedding can be stressful, so to work with people who are calm and know what they are doing is a huge help. She did so many extra steps for us, like coordinating place covers and setting up our decorations. Their pricing was fair and transparent, and they were easy to work with when customizing packages.Beyond the process, the day itself was perfect! I had guests say their steak was one of the best they've had- not just at a wedding but overall! The passed food during cocktail hour was delicious and the staff was great. Not one detail was missed. Somehow Lynn or the manager was always near by when I had a question and they were awesome at keeping things on time. They even brought cocktails to us from the bar so we wouldn't have to get up during dinner. The venue was so elegant yet the two outdoor spaces allowed us to have corn hole and giant jenga during the cocktail hour and cigars during the band break. We had a fantastic plated dinner and Saz's casual late night food later. They really had it all! The views of the sunset on river are so stunning and the long room meant tables were only two rows deep in front of our head table, so even though it was a large wedding, it felt personal.You could really tell they took pride in their work and truly wanted your day to be perfect - and ours was. I would give them 100 stars and recommend them again and again.

Hannah Davis: We got married a few weeks ago and we are so incredibly happy with our decision to have our reception at The Grain Exchange. Maria and Christean were phenomenal to work with - from the initial consultation through the day of the event. Everything, from the gorgeous room to the fantastic food to the flow of events, was spectacular. I had many people comment that the food was the best they've had at a wedding. That's what you get with Bartolotta's! The day was above and beyond what we had hoped for and we can't recommend the team at The Grain Exchange highly enough.

Jeffrey Douglas: I've been staying at the Riverfront Holiday Inn for several months and I enjoy the good service and friendly staff. Angela, the hotel manager is always accommodating and helpful if I ever have concerns. I like hotel living and this is the place to be for business or recreation. Amy Bier: Julia, and her assistant Trina, were wonderful for a "month of" coordinator. Julia reached out to me initially with a phone call and was very helpful in walking through the timeline and day I had created with my photographer. Julia helped with all the other vendors in the days leading up to the wedding, ensuring everyone would be there on time. Upon arriving to the venue while we were doing photographs, Julia and Trina were helpful in any finishing touches and organizing everyone to make sure everything was set up for the ceremony. Right after the ceremony, they were by my husband and my side, got us a drink, and ensured the rest of the timeline flowed smoothly, from cocktail hour, to our first dance, to getting dinner started with the toasts, and finally a surprise dance my husband's family had prepared for him. Definitely recommend!
Hannah Zurcher: Krista, the owner of Weddings With A Twist the an absolute dream of a wedding planner. We started working with WWAT in January of 2022 for our 2023 September wedding and Krista was there for every step. She made the wedding planning process seamless and handled all the communication with other vendors. She made the overwhelming task of planning a large wedding as easy as it can be, even when she went on maternity leave, her assistant stepped in and was completely up to date on every single thing Krista and I had been discussing. WWAT is very organized and thorough, they made us our own personalized wedding website that kept track of our budget, vendor contracts, mood board, and more. Krista was always easy to get ahold of and very flexible willing to move her schedule around to accomodate ours. During wedding weekend, I was stress free knowing that Krista was going to be present the entire wedding and handling all of the set up so that myself, my husband, and my family could all be present with us and not busy setting the venue up. She also took the time to know us on a personal level, so we did not just feel like clients to her. We cannot recommend WWAT enough, she made two people who really did not want a wedding very very grateful we ended up having one, because the day was absolute perfection! Our wedding was so seamless, my best friend who recently got engaged booked with Krista the day after our wedding because she wanted the same experience we had!!
Elise Cocagne: Krista & Emily helped me last second with working on day of coordination for my wedding and they were both fantastic! Krista was my main point of contact and helped me with getting organized, communicating with vendors, and putting together a timeline to keep the day on track. I'm not exaggerating when I say that we were a happier, less stressed couple because of Krista and her team. Krista was with us every step of the way from venue tours and tastings to the take down at the end of our night. She's incredibly organized, kept us on track during planning, and her tools made everything straightforward. Most people who are getting married haven't done it before and it can be daunting to even know where to start- which vendors to book first, how to find them, keeping up with communication, organizing the information... I would absolutely hire WWAT to take care of all of that again. We had consultations about our vision for each vendor and then options that fit our style and budget just showed up in our inbox already vetted and with confirmed availability for our day. Like, are you kidding me?? Honestly, the best money spent on our wedding and their price was incredibly reasonable for all you get! I didn't have a voice the week of or morning of my wedding which would have been a crisis if we didn't have Krista! She was there and worked with every vendor, double checked that everything was ready as the day was coming up, and the day of I didn't have to lift a finger. You have no idea how nice it was to have someone who takes care of EVERYTHING and just takes you to where you need to be and when. I can't recommend them enough- hire them and then take a breath. They've got this so you don't have to!

Casey Goon: Weddings with a Twist was truly excellent to work with. The day went absolutely perfectly - nothing went wrong and if it did, Julia handled it without me knowing. There were a few tricky details that I was worried about and Julia took care of all of them. She was friendly, communicative, and detail-oriented. She found multiple issues with our timeline proactively so we could coordinate with vendors to fix them before the day of. And I was very worried we would forget things at the venue since there was a strict cut off policy but she made sure my helpers got every last thing. She was a calming presence and a joy to work with!!

She helped organize our chair rentals with Canopies Events. She was very helpful the day of and HIGHLY recommend having at minimum a wedding planner for day of services. She helped get guests seated and organize any last minute details the day of. She was willing to pick up my bridal bouquet on her way to our ceremony. Assisted with group photos and helped get them done quickly and efficiently. Throughout all the photos she was great about helping keep my train straight, hold my bouquet if needed and help with adjusting my dress straps if I felt they were sliding down. She also assisted with bustling my dress.

We hired them because we did not want ourselves, or any of our family members, to feel like we had to work on the day of the wedding to set up decor and make sure all of the vendors were accounted for. They did not disappoint.All of our reception decor was set up exactly how I envisioned it and at the end of the night, they packed everything away so organized and were very efficient. Leading up to the day Krista made everything so easy for me and made sure I had my checklist complete! She was super responsive and always made me feel like a priority. Day of she sent Trina and Clare and they were just as amazing! I do not think I would of survived without them. They made it so myself and my family and friends could enjoy the day and not worry about any of the stress.
