Job Purpose
Under the direction of the Principal, the Teacher will lead the instruction and training of scholars in his or her classroom and/or assigned grade level(s). The Lead Teacher will work closely with scholars, parents, and school administration to ensure that academic success and character development are achieved by all scholars in the classroom.
Essential Responsibilities
• Develop and implement daily instruction plans as part of the long-range educational and organizational goals
• Employ a variety of creative, differentiated, and research-based instructional strategies that ensure students are actively engaged in meaningful and rigorous learning experiences
• Conduct interim assessments, track student progress, and perform regular data analysis to determine student mastery and diagnose areas of misunderstanding

• Experience working with students and families in low income urban communities
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Experience with school teaching platforms and technology for virtual learning

• The Early Intervention Specialist - Special Education Teacher is responsible for providing early intervention services to children in the environment in which the child naturally spends his/her day. The teacher will address all areas of development and base his/her treatment activities on the goals written by the parents and stated on the IFSP. The teacher is also responsible to help support the families through the birth to three process. The Special Education Teacher reports directly to the Director of Birth to Three programming.

Position Overview: HOPE High School is seeking a strategic and dynamic High School Math Teacher focusing in Algebra and Geometry and who is committed to ensuring dramatic student achievement for all students in their classroom. Responsibilities
Set and hold students to extremely high academic and behavior standards.
Embody and demonstrate a loving, Christ-like character and ensure that students exhibit the same values.
Set measurable, ambitious, and attainable goals for the year and each interim assessment cycle.
Develop and implement daily... lesson plans as part of a long-term Scope & Sequence aligned to the curricular goals of HOPE.
Develop a positive, achievement-oriented and structured learning environment so that all students are invested in their academic excellence and can fulfill their potential.
Build rapport with students, parents, and families so they understand unambiguously that teachers love them.
Continually improve teaching skills by seeking out constructive feedback and professional development opportunities.
Use an effective system for tracking student mastery of curricular objectives for each unit and throughout the school year.
Assume responsibility for every single scholar's success by holding all students accountable to school-wide behavioral expectations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in relevant area of study. (Mathematics or Education degrees required).
At least 1-3 years of experience teaching in a high school setting.
Strong instructional and classroom management skills
Demonstrated mastery and enthusiasm for science content knowledge
Strong understanding of how to backwards plan and standards based instruction.
A tireless work ethic, entrepreneurial spirit, and innovative solution finder.
Open to feedback and committed to continuously improving.
Personal qualities: passionate, relentless work ethic, humility, positive in the face of incredible challenges, and loving.
