The Muse Gallery Guesthouse: what do users think?

Alan S: Came upon The Muse when searching for a hotel in Milwaukee and decided to try something different - and we are so glad we did! Far and away a better experience!!! The room was spotless and charming, as were Mary Ellen and Andrew. Greeted with a glass of Sangria and some treats - and the breakfast was next level, a huge improvement over the usual hotel spread. If you are planning to spend a night or two in Milwaukee, you need to give it a try. You won’t regret it.

Mws z: Our stay at The Muse was superb. Mary Ellen was an awesome host and made us feel so welcomed. The location is great! A 1-2 minute walk to restaurants and coffee houses. We had lunch one day at Centraal which was very good. We wanted to try a few more restaurants but already had family commitments to attend. We definitely plan on returning to the Muse in the near future and look forward to trying the other local restaurants.Lastly, we stayed in the Cheryl room which had the private bathroom just outside the room. This was no problem at all as we still felt very comfortable and it was still very convenient. Cute room, comfortable bed, and overall a wonderful place to stay. Oh yeah, the breakfasts were tasty, filling and set me up for the rest of my day!! A must stay! Perfect quality and value.

Tuesdae Jade: we stayed in the Julia room in January and had a delightful time! the hosts gave excellent recommendations for dinner, we ended up going to the Indian restaurant Andrew suggested and it was amazing. the breakfast spread in the morning was also delicious. there is lots to do in the area, it was just a few minutes from a really cool bar called the cactus lounge and we made great time going to the public museum in the morning. we will definitely be staying again!

Thomas Miller: . The owner is incredible helpful&generous. She even prepared two breakfast brown bags for us since we departed before the sun came up. Highly recommend and next time I’m around I will stay longer. The entire neighborhood and pub/drafthouse is stellar.Rooms: Intriguing&visually pleasingWalkability: Few minutes walk to necessitiesNoteworthy details: See photos

Jennifer Johnson: What a lovely surprise tucked in Bayview. Delightful owners. Impeccably clean and adorably decorated.Rooms: Each one has its' own personality. Impeccably decorated.Nearby activities: Nestled near lovely Bayview shops and restaurants. Minutes from downtown.

Rachel Chancellor: Our quick stop in Milwaukee was made more memorable by this adorable Bed and Breakfast! The hosts were very attentive and quick to offer all sorts of recommendations and refreshments. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. Of course, the local artwork adorning every room made it feel like you were in a gallery. We would recommend to anyone wanting a more personal place to rest on their travels.

Emily D: Stayed in the Angela room upstairs for our long weekend for a local triathlon. This home and decor is beautiful. We were so impressed when we first walked in. I walked all around the home to check out all the local artwork which is incredible. We slept so well and the sheets/pillows were so soft and comfy. We didn't realize we had a second bedroom which would be perfect for family or friends. The Angela room has a dining area, main bedroom with king size bed and connected to an outdoor balcony, 2nd bedroom with twin size beds, living room and bathroom. There is a shared kitchen just down the hall if you needed it. We also got to enjoy the outdoor firepit where we talked with another guest and got to meet the owner. Such a nice evening chatting outside on a beautiful day surrounded by beautiful flowers and landscaping. Plenty of restaurants within walking or driving distance and only 2 miles from our triathlon which made it very convenient. We'd love to go back there to stay again.

FourRivers Harley-Davidson 2018: WOW! Just WOW! HIGHLY recommend this place! First class service all the way. CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN!Rooms: Very Clean and comfortable!

Tristan Klausegger: and price, with the most unique accommodations, and the most unique breakfasts

Danielle Mikolajczyk: We were very happy with our stay. The hosts took great care of us. The breakfast and accommodations were lovely. The decor is really cute and the wonderful art is regularly changed out. I was so happy that we did not stay in a hotel. This was such a better option and so much to do within walking distance. The area of town provides for many options of bars, restaurants and shops. We had our own parking space. We will definitely be coming back next time we’re in town. Thanks to Mary and Andrew. It was a tremendous pleasure to stay there and look forward to the next visit.

Thomas Howard: Great b&b in bay view with great rates and very hospitable and friendly staff with fresh made food.

Leanna Mohr: , and lovely walking paths. Nothing, however compares to the incredible hospitality of our hosts! We felt completely at home and enjoyed much fun conversation with them during our stay. Thank you, Mary Ellen and Matthew! The Muse is a Milwaukee treasure. You should definitely check it out. —Phil and Leanna, New Orleans, LA

Kami Jennings: This was our second time staying at “The Muse”. We love it here! Mary and Andrew are amazing hosts! The house is super cozy, filled with peace and very clean. The art is lovely! I purchased a piece that I fell in love with. The area is charming… plenty of restaurants, unique shops, and safe to roam/explore.There is a natural coop not far: The Outpost. If you’re looking for a quaint getaway, in a unique setting, with plenty to do: look no further! “The Muse” offers it all!

Dani Rose: Always a great stay!! Clearly a well run establishment that has lots of surpring extras. Nick is the ultimate host and this is easily the best AirBnB I have ever stayed at!

Vince Laurent: Great location, nice home, wonderful host. We did this as a AirBnB while up for Cardinals games. The home is nicely located close enough to walk and with Uber/Lift no need to move a car. The other guests we encountered were also very nice.

Westin Morrill: Beautiful old home in an easily accessible area.

Adriane Gilbert: bulbs in the vanity lights were out, so it made it difficult. Same thing with the bedside lights

M: This modern hotel is absolutely stunning. I enjoyed how quickly you can get a response from the staff through text. The beautiful kitchen hangout area is exceptionally well made and the room felt so cozy. The neighborhood is wonderful. I went to honey pie for breakfast and karma for a smoothie. I will stay here again everytime I coke to MilwaukeeRooms: It was very easy to get all the details textedSafety: I felt very safe here and in this neighborhood

Ray Juaire: I chose this location without ever having been to Milwaukee. The building and rooms looked really interesting. Great location, easy check-in/ check-out, free parking behind it, and comfortable rooms. We only spent one night but quickly located a great cafe for pie and breakfast and a Japanese place fir dinner within walking distance. It was also very easy to simply drive about 8 minutes north to go right into The Third Ward District downtown. Bayview was a great location and this play was very nice. If we had one more night we would have tried the really nice Italian place on the first floor of this guesthouse.

Christopher Ross: We visited our daughter in Milwaukee and stayed at Kinn. We have stayed there previously and have enjoyed every visit. The staff is very accommodating. Great experience.Rooms: The rooms are comfortable and well appointed. Our room had a kitchen, though others share a common kitchen and lounge. Very nice.Walkability: Lots to do in Bay View, and it’s all a short walk down the street. Great location!

Noname Foru: had a view of the lake!

Pam Wicking: Kinn Guesthouse is located in a vibrant neighborhood with restaurants and cafes within walking distance or a short drive. We really enjoyed our dinner at Sorelle, and brunch at Honeypie. Humboldt Park is just a few blocks. The rooms are comfortable, spacious and thoughtfully decorated. We appreciated the shared full kitchen and lounge area which has lots of natural light. Kinn has so much character but with the comfort of the big chain hotels.Noteworthy details: Clear instructions for contactless check in/out were sent via text. The whole process was quick and easy.

Lisa Wesley: We were so comfortable right in the heart of BayView. The bed and bedding were perfect for restful sleep in this very quiet room. We loved the large size of the room, the crazy high ceilings, the exposed brick, and huge windows with room darkening blinds. The shower was huge and well stocked with toiletries from Ursa, the cool boutique across the street; that was a treat. The spotless chef's kitchen provided a beautiful space to make and enjoy coffee and tea each morning as well as an ice machine and a dedicated tray in the fridge to store our food and beverages. We briefly saw two other guests down the hall one morning. No lobby and no crowds added to the peaceful, easy vibe. Any questions were immediately answered via text. We did NOT miss our usual airport hotel stay with crowds and noise. We look forward to staying here again and trying the Kinn Guesthouse downtown.

Lily Orr: you never heard them and it didn’t interfere with your relaxing at all.the bed was comfortable and all the amenities were great. would definitely stay here again.

Schuster Mansion Bed & Breakfast: what do users think?

Rosemary Notz: The place is gorgeous. A very cool historical mansion to stay in, truly. Laura Sue's breakfast was aaabsolutely amazing.Occasionally we did feel a bit hovered over and child-like with the way that we were corrected for every little move we made that was not correct. I found myself feeling a bit nervous around the hostess because of this. But I guess that's my own problem? It was also a little odd that the accomodations booklet in the room said something to the affect of "need bottled water? No problem! Just ask." And then when I asked Rick, I was told "I'll have to charge you for it." Okay then, nevermind hahah. Maybe add "no problem! For a fee of __ we can offer you some." The wording was misleading for sure.We left with a beautiful tea cup that we purchased from the little store in the mansion, which made me super happy. Overall it was a good experience.Walkability: Able to walk the quick 15 minutes to our venue.Food & drinks: Breakfast was exquisite.

Courtney Francois: I took my mom for High Tea on her Bornday. They gave her a crown. You pick out the tea cup you would like to drink out of. We had 7 teas to try and an assortment of finger food. You will definitely need a real meal afterwards.Great experience and ambience! We shopped the store before we left and I got her the tea she liked the most as a to go gift. I would do this again. The owners were great! Very elegant. Great experience!!

Robert Cummings: This place is what service is all about. When we were checking in they asked what type of car and color. I told them I had a Kia. Right away Laura Sue got up and fetched a steering wheel lock. She then told me that Kia's are notoriously easy to steal and she did not want our weekend to be interrupted or distressed. She asked us when we wanted to eat breakfast and offered 4 different options for our cooked to order breakfast. She also asked us if we wanted coffee to tea delivered to our room in the morning. And the place is an amazing old mansion with incredibly high ceilings. They have the rounded corners where the ceiling meets the wall. And it is all painted. Just like a museum piece.Do yourself a favor and pick the deluxe service and you will not be disappointed.

Patricia Tarleton: We really loved our stay at the mansion! Laura Sue and Rick were so welcoming. They did an amazing job making us feel welcome in their home. They were so friendly, it felt like we were staying with family, in the very best way. The breakfasts were delicious, our favorite was the strata with the French toast. It was super cozy to have tea and coffee in our room first thing in the morning. We loved having a sitting room to hang out in. There are so many little touches that were beautiful and most pieces had some kind of historic value as well. It was fun to walk around the mansion and see all the lovely little touches Laura Sue has put in each area. You can tell that this has been a labor of love for the Mosiers. We wish them well in all their future endeavors!Rooms: The rooms are all beautiful and unique! We enjoyed seeing all the different decor and historic pieces through out the mansion.Nearby activities: The third Ward is just a few miles away. There are many opportunities for shopping, dining, and site seeing! We enjoyed the 3rd Ward Market, the River Walk, the Public Library, the Milwaukee Domes, and the beautiful architecture.Walkability: We walked down to the 3rd Ward every day we were there. There are sidewalks the entire way. It was a pleasant walk although maybe a little long for some people.

Samm Krause: Fair pricing..wonderful decor...owners go out of their way to ensure your stay is the most pleasant you can have...easy to get toNoteworthy details: Wonderful atmosphere...its like going back in time

Sandra Tisdale: I have visited many times. The hospitality is superb. All the rooms are elegant and cozy. Breakfast is tasty. The caretakers Laura Sue and Rick are very hospitable.Nearby activities: It is not far from theaters, museums, Brewer's, and Bucks stadium. The Rave is right down the road. You can drive, take Uber or even the city bus.Noteworthy details: It is a Victorian motif and is very elegant. When you walk in you forget where you are.

Hannah Lewandowski: We went for high tea to catch up with our friends and family! We had an amazing time. We loved all the photo opportunities, the tea, the food, and the historical presentation. It was like we were thrown back into time!! We will definitely be back! 📸☕️ ❤️Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Luxury …

K: After arriving in Milwaukee after several hours of driving across multiple states, we needed to find a place to stay for a few days. We decided to check out the Schuster Mansion Bed & Breakfast and it was one of the best decision we ever made!Owners, Rick and Laura Sue, were incredibly kind and accommodating! They went out of their way with no hesitation to arrange for last minute additional stays, as well as a very early morning phone call when we desperately needed to come back due to complications related to the move. The entire experience was very memorable — from the Victorian themed rooms and living areas, exceptional breakfast meals that we were served, and enjoyable conversations with the owners about the history of the mansion, among other topics. The mansion is also very close to downtown Milwaukee and to where we moved. We’ll be highly recommending the mansion to our family and friends. Thank you Rick and Laura Sue from the bottom of our hearts ❤️

Charlotte McDonald: took my girlfriend to this lovely bread and breakfast. the owners were very personable and took great care of us during our stay. our stay took place in the pais suite, it was luxurious and romantic for just 2 people. the breakfast came with 4 different options for a main course which i thought was very nice. and a bunch of juice options. overall our stay was great, especially just for a night. i definitely would recommend staying here if you are looking for a weekend getaway. also great for concert/sports game goers since it's 10 minutes from the Fiserv Forum!

Ginger Risner: We had a wonderful experience at the Schuster Mansion. The owners are warm and friendly, which made the experience even better. The mansion is beautifully done and maintained. It was a fantastic experience and one of the highlights on our road trip around Wisconsin. We'll try to stay there every time we're in Wisconsin!

john walch: We were given a gift certificate here for our wedding and it turned out to be an amazing present! The home is beautiful, truly museum quality. The room, and the entire property, was very clean and well maintained. The owners were very friendly and the food was beautifully presented. We look forward to returning on a future visit to Milwaukee.

Manderley Bed & Breakfast Inn: what do users think?

Jenny Alderman: Rooms: The room was very quiet and I slept very well after the concertWalkability: Was close to The Rave where my boyfriend and I were attending a concert.Food & drinks: Breakfast was very wonderful in the morning. Made by the owner.

Gillian Newberry: and they make incredible coffee. The garden is serene and comfortable, and the backyard kitties were a special bonus

Xo Xo: OMG i have some of my fondest childhood memories from a family vacation where we stayed at a true southern bed and breakfast. I haven’t been to one since then, so it was a high standard I had before coming to Manderley. I was so excited to stay here and it was amazing, above and beyond my expectations!! I didn’t even feel like I was in Milwaukee, it was just the best to take my son to make memories with us, just like I did when I was a child.

Andrew Higley: My fiance and I stayed here 7/22/23 and couldn’t recommend it more. We arrived around 9:00am and they were able to park our car early as we wanted to explore the city. The house was amazing and offered a very unique experience. Both hosts were very welcoming and made us feel right at home. The breakfest was incredible, they put a ton of effort in to make it feel like a five star breakfest. We will be staying here any time we visit milwaukee again.

Bushfood Network: My girlfriend and I were just there on Friday, 7/7/23 and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The owners are gracious and entertaining, not to mention accommodating. I definitely recommend staying here. We will definitely be back

Alex Bosco: This place is fantastic! Budget extra time into your day just to explore the extraordinary artifacts and works of art that line every inch of this intricate and historic home. You will be transported to a different world, while also feeling so grounded by the wonderful hosts who are kind and great company. They also have a chicken coop that provides fresh eggs for each breakfast. This is a must stop if you're ever visiting the Milwaukee.

Kara Nowakowski: We had a great time and will definitely be back for a longer stay.

Brandon Wendt: I enjoyed my stay very much. The attention to detail was quite nostalgic. It's refreshing to see a bed and breakfast go the extra mile and create a period correct Ambiance. The owners were quite hospitable, they made sure that we were comfortable and if we needed any accommodations that we were more than welcome to ask them for that. The furniture was stunning in the room that we occupied which was Millie's suite It was heartwarming to see pieces of furniture from times gone by still being used to this day. The only complaint that I have was the breakfast. It wasn't quite adequate and I was hungry hours before lunch. Other than that, I would most definitely stay there again if you get a chance and you want a different lodging experience. I highly recommend you stay there!

Craig Hofland: We really loved the inside of this beautifully rebuilt, intricate wood throughout and artfully decorated home. The stain glass windows were amazing. A lot of sweat has gone into this place and it shows. The hosts Andy & Maria were very gracious and fun to talk with and gave us some great advice about things to do. They were on the spot checking us in and out. The backyard needed a little work but is Memorial Day weekend and they are making progress. The breakfast was amazing and the fresh eggs were delicious. The reason we were here was for a Eric Church concert. Andy had not heard of him, but he played it for us at breakfast the next day. His attention to detail was remarkable, nice touch Andy! Very well prepared breakfast we really enjoyed our 2 day stay. Highly recommend this place, it’s close to everything.

The Knickerbocker on the Lake: what do users think?

Carrie Engstrom: We really enjoyed our stay at the Knickerbocker, the service was great and it was fun being in a historic hotel. The restaurant is really good too. The only thing that was somewhat troublesome were the people next to us being rather loud so I'm guessing the walls are a little thin. Also, when they cooked the odor was pretty strong. Otherwise it's a lovely hotel and we would stay there again.

Richard Hertz: Lovely airbnb room in a classic former residential hotel. Quiet, clean, well-appointed and comfortable.Rooms: Large 1 bed unit. Nice kitchen, clean and up-to-date. Comfortable bed in the bedroom.Walkability: Close to the lake and downtown. Even a supermarket nearby.

Jon Rodman: .Rooms: Clean, quiet, and still retaining a historical atmosphere

Dubbel Dutch Hotel: what do users think?

Brandon Brown - Roost Photography: The Dubbel Dutch is a fantastic spot for couples who need a beautiful, vintage Milwaukee place to get ready for their wedding day. It has so much charm! MKE is full of treasures, but the historical Dubbel Dutch Hotel is undoubtedly one of them. Merging modern comfort with old-world style - it is a peaceful and beautiful place to start your wedding day… and their beds are excellent for jumping. Bonus - they are across the street from a lovely ivy wall that serves well for emotional first looks, fun Champagne toasts, or some other hilarious wedding day shenanigans.

Doug Faherty: Great place in a good area of Milwaukee. The Art Museum and some great trails are very close by.Our room was very clean and spacious. Liked not having to keep track of a key card, and just being able to enter a code to get in.Overall a beautiful building.Had some questions and got very quick response from the staff.Would definitely stay there again.

Shaleigh Fitzpatrick: . Fun staying in a piece of Milwaukee history. Thanks Dubbel Dutch. Def will stay again.

Kate Konrad: Our stay at the Dubbel Dutch was very memorable. The staff was great. Perfect location, and mix of historic and modern. Loved it!Rooms: Room was a beautiful suite. You can feel the history of the facility, but also has all the modern luxuries.Walkability: Great location. Easily walkable to downtown and historic 3rd Ward, but also very safe and quiet.Noteworthy details: Historic with modern luxuries

Sharon Heil: Dubbel Dutch is in great location within walking distance of the Art Museum, lakefront and places to eat or have a coffee or drink. I loved the building's high ceilings and its unique charm, and that it wasn't a hustling bustling kind of place. It was very clean with quality finishes and furnishings. It was also nice and quiet, except for the creaky stairs but thanks to little traffic, that was more comical than annoying. This is a very good value compared to other hotel and airbnb options I looked at. I would definitely stay here again.

Leah Hargarten: Stayed here during our wedding weekend and absolutely loved it! The Taloosa suite was great for getting ready and everyone we worked with during the reservation process was extremely helpful!

Matthew Payne: Would highly recommend if you're looking for a quaint, relaxing, and low key stay in MKE.

Binit Patel: Location is the best in the area. Rooms were very clean and everything was in working order. Service was the best part. Front desk called our room after check in to see if everything met our expectations. General manager had left a nice card and flowers for my wife for her birthday, which is why we were in town. Definitely would recommend this hotel.

Jeffrey Johnson: Met all needs for my stay. Breakfast was fine. Wifi was shotty. The adjacent parking lot is connected to this building on the 2nd floor key required. Didn't get time to use the pool but the color of water didn't look right. I'll assume they were cleaning. I'll stay here again next year for the same convention.Walkability: Great proximity for everything I needed wanted and main destination.
