The Knickerbocker on the Lake: what do users think?

Carrie Engstrom: We really enjoyed our stay at the Knickerbocker, the service was great and it was fun being in a historic hotel. The restaurant is really good too. The only thing that was somewhat troublesome were the people next to us being rather loud so I'm guessing the walls are a little thin. Also, when they cooked the odor was pretty strong. Otherwise it's a lovely hotel and we would stay there again.

Richard Hertz: Lovely airbnb room in a classic former residential hotel. Quiet, clean, well-appointed and comfortable.Rooms: Large 1 bed unit. Nice kitchen, clean and up-to-date. Comfortable bed in the bedroom.Walkability: Close to the lake and downtown. Even a supermarket nearby.

Jon Rodman: .Rooms: Clean, quiet, and still retaining a historical atmosphere

Kimberly D'Anna: Room was beautiful with good location and access to restaurant. Great bartendersRooms: Very nice and luxury

The Iron Horse Hotel: what do users think?

K Star: Super cool place! Amazing rooms and service was awesome. Dinner was great, excellent Old Fashioneds and spectacular breakfast. I will stay here again when in Milwaukee. Also very close to HD museum.Rooms: Rooms are modern and upscale.

Erica Kelly: Had an amazing experience at the Iron Horse Hotel.Unfortunately, I only had the opportunity to stay for one night with a small group but I would've stayed longer if I could and will definitely be back!First, the staff is incredibly hospitable, and friendly. My group was pretty small, maybe 10-14 rooms and they treated us like royalty from the front desk, to management, to bar service to culinary and breakfast and the giftshop/store.Second, the hotel itself was so nice. I didn't know what to expect prior to my arrival, knowing that this hotel was influenced by Harley Davidson, but it was done in such a classy elegant way. You really appreciate the esthetic when you walk up the stairs, into the lobby with the hotel scent and the layout/décor throughout the property. This hotel really takes so many local influences into account and I feel like I was able to experience so much of Milwaukee in the hotel, from the 1 night I was there.Thank you so much for such a delightful experience, I can't wait to go back and suggest this hotel to anyone staying in or near Milwaukee.

Katelyn Roach: . Smells like man spiced deodorant in the entrance lobby… think Negroni in aerosol form. Everyone was extremely pleasant. Rooms were clean and quiet. All that being said, the restaurant food needs help. For $98, we ordered 2 burgers, 1 coke, caesar salad, calamari, and 1 fried chicken sandwich. For the quality I’d say price point is about 30% over priced. Burgers were very mid, chicken was good, salad was fine, but the calamari… just no. Iron Horse Hotel you were great, but please remove the calamari from your menu immediately. For $16, we received small insignificant crumbs, not fresh, and the dressing was this strange cranberry relish that wasn’t even dippable. If I was in a mood I’d have sent it back or asked for it to be removed from my tab, but I did not.I recommend Iron Horse as a nice place to stay, however you’re better off just going up the road to St. Paul’s Fish Company at the public market for a fresh dinner.

Brumder Mansion Bed & Breakfast: what do users think?

Tom Perkins: My wife and I really enjoyed our first stay is this beautiful old home, and the warm hospitality from the Inn Keepers. Enjoyed the tour and fascinating background of the mansion from Tom, who thoroughly explained how everything worked. We stayed in the very spacious George Suite. The bed was extremely comfortable, and we loved how the room was decorated. The tea service, complementary cookies, wine and beer were nice, and the breakfast outstanding! The finishing touch to such an enjoyable stay was meeting adorable house pup, Ellie, who is so sweet, and loves being petted and belly rubs. We'll be back for sure!

Michelle O'Neill: Words to express my sincere pleasure with the service and ambiance of the Brumder Mansion escape me. The caretaker, Tom, was attentive when needed, but also able to make us feel like the mansion was ours for a night so we could find escape from world as well. The attention to detail was incomparable and the breakfast was phenomenal. We couldn't have been more satisfied. We leave wondering how we will be able to stay elsewhere after this experience. Thank you.

C N: I was invited to check out this amazing haunted bed and breakfast. Wow is it amazing

Jennifer Nichole Leach: Wonderful experience here we will be back ♡♡♡♡ The owner Tom is astounding best vacation ever so peaceful.Rooms: BeautifulFood & drinks: Wonderful BreakfastNoteworthy details: Wonderful beautiful people Tom and Tom♡♡♡ Best Service I ever had.

Rebecca Woelfel: If you’re trying to decide which historical BnB to stay in milwaukee, pick this one! No hidden fees, weird rules, or nickel and diming you for extras. They generously provide different types of beers, wines, and treats for free anytime. The innkeepers were lovely and very easy going. Our room was grandiose but cozy. Loved the jacuzzi. Breakfast was beautiful and delicious. And we met the two extremely polite, fluffy mansion dogs!

stephanie bernier: . We also got to meet the cute dog that belongs to them! We enjoyed that we got to schedule our breakfast time and was just my fiancé and I. Would recommended for a romantic unique stay with your significant other.

The Pfister Hotel: what do users think?

Danilo Franzin Paulo: Местоположение: 5 из 5

Emily: , very limited view considering it was a "lake view" room, a very small bathroom, and thin walls where we could hear neighbors talking at night. We found the room hot but the thermostat would not let us lower the setting any further. There was one mirror in the bathroom. The beds were comfortable, clean, and room service was outstanding and better than expected. One elevator was out of service for a day or two but was fixed before we left. Our guest card didn't let us out of the parking ramp. The help button didn't work, and when we called the front desk no one answered. We had to physically get out of the car and walk to the front desk to have them give new cards to exit the ramp. Luckily no one was waiting behind us in the ramp.Luggage racks were unavailable unless you pay/tip the concierge/bell hop service to bring the bags for you. They won't let you use one if you ask.The pool was clean. I wish it had more jets to filter the water. There was no hot tub. The pool towels were very nice. The fitness center had a good amount of weights and equipment but looked dirty like it needed to be vacuumed and wiped down. It was in the basement.Club access was nice and staff were very friendly. I loved the fresh cut fruit at breakfast. I wish pancakes or waffles had been included.Club daytime snacks included gummy bears, snack mix, chips, m+m's, Kind/Clif bars, pop, and other beverages. Too much junk for the kids. I think apples and oranges were also available.Club evening hors derves weren't that great and they looked inexpensive- chunks of stinky cheese with flatbread sesame crackers, wontons, baked pierogis, an honor bar and macrons every night. We witnessed a staff with long blond hair come into the Club room from the Blu bar, grab tips, and then return back to the Blu bar room. The Mason Street Grille was very expensive and not kid friendly. The service was slow and the food was not great.

Saint Kate - The Arts Hotel: what do users think?

Valeria Gonzalez: My fiancé and I wanted to stop in Milwaukee for a night just to visit the city and needed a reasonably priced but comfortable hotel and Saint Kate is the best you can get! Madelyn from the front desk was so accommodating, provided us with anything we needed and also recommended great places to eat and drink within walking distance. The room was clean and AC worked perfectly, bed was comfy and our view was also great. Our experience was awesome and would definitely visit again!

Liv: My absolute favorite hotel to date! I loved the artsy vibe. The staff were so nice and helpful. Complementary champagne upon check-in to boot. The views, the location, everything. The bed was so comfy, too, lol. I'm definitely staying here again!Noteworthy details: There's an art gallery on the ground floor open to the public.

Dan Gross: My wife and I have traveled around the world, staying at many of the finest, most famous, luxury hotels, and we can honestly say that this is one of the greatest experiences we've ever had. To say it was perfect would actually be an understatement. We were surprised and delighted over and over again. The one unfortunate thing is that we were only there for one night! We will definitely be back! Even if we have to return to Milwaukee just for that purpose it will be worth it!

Kelsey H: This was… fine but didn’t totally live up to my hopes? Room layout was nice and the space is beautiful overall, though mine showed some wear and tear. We were here Thursday - Saturday and some of the galleries were closed for a changeout for most of our trip. The lobby/restaurant/bar area is SO LOUD - we didn’t really get to enjoy it because it was consistently so overwhelming. Room service menu is weirdly limited - no way to order beverages through the app with breakfast? The location was great and the parking worked well.Overall I would stay here again for the right price, but this was a slight splurge for us even compared to some other downtown hotels we considered, and I don’t think it was worth going out of our way for.Walkability: Super convenient/walkable to activities as well as bus and streetcar lines.Food & drinks: No ability to order coffee/tea/soda for breakfast as part of room service.

Sybaris Mequon: what do users think?

Ally Hernandez: This was my first time here, the check in was very quick and easy. The man who is a security guard went above and beyond. He gave us lists for where to order food, directions to grocery stores and he also gave us directions to the additional outdoor activities the suit had to offer. They had a beautiful gazebo and a nice backyard forest with a pond. The room itself was absolutely beautiful! The pool room was exceptionally clean, rooms were clean and comfortable. Steam room was my favorite part. Very romantic atmosphere, if you’re looking for a wonderful place to take your partner I highly recommend.

Shavon Monson: Spent 2 nights at the Paradise Suite in Mequon and one night in the deluxe whirlpool room in Downers Grove. I must say that the Mequon location with the paradise sweet was excellent. Wish I could have hooked the tv up the hear speakers in the pool area. Downers Grove gives more of a hotel vibe with a smaller room. But other than that if you want the full experience. I recommend you getting a pool suite.

Carrie Mitchell: ❤️❤️❤️❤️ this treasure. Quiet relaxing spot, even on NYE. We come every year and will continue to do so. The owner, Jane, is a gem and involved in daily operations of running the B&B.Rooms: All upscale Italian themed luxury rooms with hot tub in the room. Beautifully decorated.Safety: Guests are provided a code to access keys that will get you in the front door and tour room. Very secure private check in process.

Max Steiner: Have stayed here a few times now. Seriously wonderful experience every time. It's always a very comfortable stay, and the rooms are top notch in terms of quality and cleanliness. Kenneth Trommler: Had a wonderful two night stay at the Ambassador. The shuttle driver Taurus was very kind and helpful. The rooms were quaint and quiet. The art deco feel of the lobby was beautiful. Stained glass and old time radios line the walls. Would highly recommend a stay at the Ambassador. The parking garage was great as well. Other reviews mention abandoned cars, I saw zero during my stay and my car felt very secure. Overall a wonderful stay. Ate at the Gin Rickey as well, half of appetizers got the slider trio and it was perfect.

Hotel Metro, Autograph Collection: what do users think?

Tony Kinnett: The hotel is very nicely kept, and one of the better in the Autograph Collection. The star of this stay is undoubtedly the service. The front desk staff and the cleaning/maintenance crew were friendly, thorough, and well beyond what I'd expect at a chain like this. Given the opportunity, I will be staying here whenever in Milwaukee in the future.

M Taylor: This is an independent hotel boutique that is part of the Marriott Bonvoy Program. I did receive an upgrade to a Presidents suite, but don't be confused because they have several of them. The decor of the room is nice but it is not new, it is starting to show some wear and tear. The climate control is not great as it is an older building with forced radiator heat that you cannot turn off. The AC could not cool the room as needed for us at night. Valet parking is $40, there is local self parking nearby for less than $20. There are several great restaurants nearby. I give 3 stars when I am satisfied with my experience but would not go out of my way to return. I would stay at a different property on my next trip.

Flip Flop Guy: Very nice rooms! Clean and modernized with a warm feeling to them. Staff was friendly and valet prompt! A few unique drawback’s experienced would be that the room temp was too warm and no matter the setting, would not lower. The television also didn’t display anything but movie channels and local channels. The casting didn’t work either. Finally, there was the sound of music bass well past midnight that could be heard. I am not sure if that was the very cool pufferfish tiki bar on the sixth floor or a place across the street. Made for a tough sleep. All in all though, a very nice hotel and one we would definitely visit again!

Kendell Solorzano: Great location and the valet Todd is so friendly and service oriented! We love staying here for work trips. Rooms are great!Rooms: Rooms are huge and modern. Nice snacks, coffee and amenities! Lots of plugs and chargers.

Justin Gauvin: Decor in lobby matches the rooms. However couches in the rooms are too square and not comfortableWe had a Suite and couldn't have guests stay in our living room...Food & drinks: The restaurant Oogies has fabulous breakfast, non hotel guests were eating there.

Jennifer Dettlo: We stayed here for the second time this past weekend and--once again--Hotel Metro was just phenomenal. The building is so cute--everything is super clean, chic and inviting----but the staff is what really shines. The ladies at the front desk/reception were so helpful and kind to us we....but everyone who works here is amazing. We were just so impressed by the level of service and the straight-up kindness we were shown we will be back for a third stay! Excellent job Hotel Metro!

Scott V: Overall I call this a very nice hotel for a 5 night stay. We were upgraded to the presidential suite giving us a cozy fireplace and extra seating. For a room as big as this and one for 5 days I'm baffled by how little closet space there is.Decor is so nice, makes you feel as though you are back in the 1930'sStaff is super nice. Had some very good recommendations for local places to visit.Walkability: Close to the 3rd Ward in one direction and the entertainment district the other direction.

Ethan James Kretlow (Eton Kretlow): So goodSafety: OkayFood & drinks: Good

Latrez H: This hotel is really good. It’s kind of like a old-school back in the 1960s vibe with a modern twist but it’s crazy because everything is real good the vibe the food the drinks the room everything is really elegant and nice plus it’s downtown in the center of everything in MILWAUKEE I think they got another one in New York if I’m not mistaken, but you gotta check it out. This is definitely one of the top hotels in downtown MILWAUKEE, you get waited on hand and foot from the time you get out the car until the time you get to your room even after that, there’s always someone that’s there to help you throughout your whole stay you got like a personal maid or bails men

Stephanie Cheslock: The food is good Irish comfort food and the complimentary omelet bar/breakfast selection hit the spot. And—off street parking is included! The bar has live music a few nights a week and regulars from the neighborhood. It feels like a true Irish pub. The staff is friendly and goes above and beyond to make your stay great. After recently visiting County Clare in Ireland, I can say the vibes and hospitality are spot on.Rooms: The rooms aren’t huge, but they have everything you need. The beds are comfy and clean.Safety: The area feels very safe, no matter what time of day or night we’ve walked to, and from the end, I see folks from the neighborhood walking their dogs which is generally just good vibes and makes you feel safeWalkability: About a 20 minute walk to places like the Pabst theater and riverwalk area.Food & drinks: Yummy and affordable food and drink.Noteworthy details: A perfectly authentic Irish, pub and inn. Lore Lisheron: Beautiful event space. Excellent food and service.Food & drinks: Our event had a brunch buffet which offered delicious and healthy selections as well as traditional fare. Many beverages included juice, coffee & tea, and alcoholic options.

Easton Frindlestone: My first time staying at this hotel was super easy using the Hilton app to book, check in, unlock my room etc. My second time staying at this hotel was on a business trip that my boss had booked my hotel room for, and he had entered some information incorrectly which led to some difficulties at the front desk. Haley stepped in to help out her colleague who was assisting me with this & she went above and beyond to make sure that the strange and complicated issue was resolved in the best possible way.All of my interactions with staff have been great, the dogs are adorable, and the hotel does a great job handling events hosted here and at the attached convention center. The Starbucks in the lobby is super convenient. There's also a Walgreens just down the street to shop for basics at. 👍

Services in the hotel are solid. I.e gyms/laundry/breakfast.The location gets 3 stars because of its relative location to decent food, bars, markets and even music venues. But it stops there, during the night, its not a place you'd want to walk around solo.Parking is horrendous.

Carol Sonnenberg: Excellent staff, service and the rooms are so homey. We felt so comfortable there. Relaxed. We will definitely go back. Great breakfast variety as well as happy hour wine, cheese, etc.❤️

Professional Pizza Taster: Very nicely located in the middle of all the little shops nearby. The rooms are a bit small, without much storage space, but the beds were very comfortable and I loved having a tub and fireplace in the room. The breakfast is great, especially if you’re like me and hate getting up and getting dressed to go to a restaurant first thing in the morning. 😅

Kerri D: We visited there around the middle of June this year. Great time! Very helpful reception at front desk and with wine/cheese. Convenient EV charging. We enjoyed watching one of their movie DVDs, selected from their list. Cute / cozy room. Location is great with sorbet ice cream option next door, and 5-min to Riverwalk was super nice during sunset. Scones / room service including gluten / dairy free options tasted amazing. Great customer experience. Thank you!

Kari Heinrich: Clean, comfortable, charming room. Lovely breakfast. Staff were so nice. I’d definitely return!Noteworthy details: Steam shower in select room was such a luxurious treat.

Ethiopian Cottage Restaurant: what do users think?

Kimberly Zucker: So I am going to be upfront. I haven't been here for a while as I live in Florida now. However, my next trip back to see my family will include a trip to this restaurant. The food has always been awesome, as well as the service. By the way this is an Ethiopian restaurant not a Southern American restaurant that serves collard greens. Just saying.....

Joseph Adams: Been coming here for years and it remains our favorite Ethiopian restaurant

Shelby Fiorante: This was our first time having Ethiopian and the Cottage Plate was a deliciously wonderful experience!Recommendation for vegetarians Highly recommend Vegetarian offerings Clearly labeled vegetarian dishes …

Caryn Redemann: The food is wonderful, but the place needs a deep cleaning and a facelift. It could be so much better. Clean the bathrooms!!! Clean the windows and mirrors. Straighten the pictures on the wall. If you want to get really crazy, a fresh coat of paint in the dining room would go a long way. And considering you serve food to be eaten by hand, a hot finger towel before the meal would be a thoughtful touch.

Lucas Podbielski: at incredible speed for the low amount of staffing. Service is always courteous and the establishment is always clean and comfortable. Park up the street a block or around the corner if you're eating in as Farwell is always a hassle but the walk is more than worth it!

Sciurus Carolinensis: Service was fine

Sarah Shelleh: My husband and I have been coming here for the last 10 years. We always order the vegetarian sample platter for 2 and it's always delicious. When we get a craving for it we just have to go! Highly recommend!Food: 5/5 …

Ashley Langford: because I can't stay away from that sampler. In fact, I may have to order one tonight due to writing this review. 😆 I always receive friendly service. They were closed for in-house dining for a long time after COVID but I believe it's open again now.

Holly Eaton: The food is the star. Absolutely delicious. Not the most glamorous place but I came for the vegan platter and it did not disappoint.Vegetarian options: The vegetarian options are actually vegan.

Lilly Pad (Boerners' Guest House): what do users think?

Will: This is my second time staying at the Lily Pad. Had a different room this time—the West Room, I think. Each room has its own story and personality. We happened to be staying right in the middle of the Christmas storm of 2022. Room was plenty warm by itself, but the gas fireplace and whirlpool tub are especially welcome amenities when you come in freezing with wind burn. Layout of the room was very nice. Loved the little nook off the main room for drinking coffee in the morning. Bed was very comfortable. Private bathroom in our room was exceptionally clean. We like to walk everywhere, so the location is perfect. We parked about a block away in the small lot on Western and Hanover. That worked well for leaving our car in one spot for the duration of our nearly week-long stay. The owner is wonderful and takes so much pride in her town and business. The people I’ve crossed paths with while staying at the Lily Pad have always been so nice as well. For us, the Lily Pad is perfect. It was Christmastime and we felt at home; not like we were at a cold, impersonal, depressing, prefab hotel. This is a quaint, old, historic building bursting with character and charm. If that’s your thing, you’ll love the Lily Pad.

Ronni Wagner: We live in Cedarburg but wanted to steal away from our crazy lives and just spend time together. This little hideaway was amazing and felt like we were worlds away! I love the lockbox key in. We literally didn’t have to see a soul which is what we needed. We booked last minute and brought our own gluten free treats which worked perfect with the fridge and microwave!! Loved the whirlpool tub. We had the upper floor all to ourselves!! Thank you for a very needed get away. We feel revitalized and ready for the week!!!R

Mary Bushaw: Absolutely wonderful! Our only mistake was not to book 2 nights for our getaway! The owner was wonderful and easy to reach by phone. We only had to call her once because my husband didn't read the email directions completely in how to get into the house. The rooms are quaint. Every comfort is thought of and provided. My only complaint is the heat and I believe this may be out of their control. It was very hot in the room at night. We weren't able to use the fireplace and couldn't find a place to regulate the heat. I believe other guests running their fireplaces heat up the small home quickly. There was a fan thankfully. I am in a time in my life that cooler at night is very much needed! Other than that, it was perfect! We will definitely be back for many years to come! Already planning our next visit! Can't wait to come back in the spring, summer or fall to enjoy the garden and outdoor fire.

Kyle Mahoney: Nice place. Little cramped but worth the stay

inicis: Stayed here for a long weekend during Oktoberfest with my wife for our 33rd wedding anniversary. I can't say enough good things about our stay. We loved the house, the room, the privacy, and the location right on the main street, and of course Denise, the owner. She is absolutely wonderful. We will stay here every time we visit Cedarburg. Loved it!

Kelley Nelson: Wonderful place to stay! Very quaint, comfortable, and well stocked.

Chris Smith: Upon check in, Denise was very helpful and full of information about the town. Our room was very quaint and lovely. As we settled in, we noticed all the small but wonderful details surrounding us. We had a very relaxing and romantic stay and enjoyed Winter Fest! The only minor issue we encountered was that the bathroom door didn’t stay closed and wouldn’t latch. Would definitely stay at Lilly Pad again!

Lori Melichar: Very comfortable and in walking distance of amazing shops. Very quiet at night. Much better than a hotel. Loved are stay.
