Debra Jensen: It's always busy! Don't expect a greeting because its very congested on busy nights!! I like that you sit in a 2nd story, enclosed area that has large glass panels so you see the whole room BUT they have HORRIBLE hard folding chairs and worst of all, if you sit in the chair, you can't see the area that's closest to you. I have to alternate "leaning over a counter" or sitting down & missing about half.

Kayla Kuo: I started taking Mandarin Chinese classes at the beginning of the year, and it's often a highlight of my week! Shan Lu is an amazing teacher, always coming to class energized. She's so funny, kind, patient and motivational which is exactly the kind of teacher/environment I'm looking for when it comes to learning a new language. It does not feel as daunting with Shan Lu by my side.I appreciate learning about the language itself, but what stands out about these classes is that she also dives into Chinese culture. One of my favorite classes was when we talked about Lunar New Year traditions, learned popular phrases/greetings, and then deep dived into a couple of characters!If you're interested in learning Mandarin, I'd highly recommend Milwaukee Chinese Culture & Language Services!

So, when we found this company, it was the best decision we made. Our son absolutely loves Mandarin, and now even more since Shan decided to take him as one of her students. Shan is incredibly patient, kind but firm, and extremely encouraging. We love her ability to change up her lessons in order to keep our son engaged the whole hour. Rosa yang: Shan Lu is awesome! I wasn't able to find a Chinese languages teacher the last two years. Even if I did, it was always very far and was expensive. Until I finally found her class and able to meet her in person. She made it possible for me to afford. She made the study easy to learn and understandable. Most challenges was to make your own sentences, I had fun, and really look forward for more of her lessons....
Dan Stern: After working on my own for a long time I found that my skills had stalled and that I was not able to progress from an Elementary to Intermediate level. For me a few consistent problems with tones and some pronunciation was holding me back. In my opinion, these problems can only be overcome through working one-on-one with a good teacher like Shan.Over the past few months the level of my Chinese has improved greatly and I am no longer stuck. She is always prepared and was willing to work with the material that I bring rather than rigidly sticking to a standard textbook.I recommend Shan to anyone who wants to start learning or to anyone looking to improve their level of Chinese.

She is VERY experienced, has great ways of teaching while keeping the children entertained and focused but above all-the kids want to see her more and more because of the way she interacts with them. Kun Wang: My two children have been taking classes with Lu Lao Shi for several years. Because they don't have a Chinese speaking environment at home, I was just hoping they learn a few words initially. Much to my surprises, they can read tons of characters now. They even attempted writing! Lu Lao Shi incorporates crafts, songs, stories and fun games in her lessons. The kids like the learning experiences.

Jamie Mosley: My son began working out with the BRX team 19 months ago. Since he started, he's gained 55 pounds through the conditioning program along with nutrition recommendations from staff members. He's gained approximately 10 mph in his throwing velocity since beginning the throwing program nine months ago. We're excited about the direction he is trending thanks to the expertise of the BRX staff.

Dan Paulsrud: Since starting the BRX performance program I have watched our son gain confidence in his speed and agility but also his overall arm strength has increased. He's been confident on the mound in baseball but seeing his speed increase and knowing we're focusing on technique and also protecting his arm doing arm care and rehab days has been great to watch. Knowing he knows how to take good care of his arm so he's not damaging it for the future.
