Morgan S: Stopped in at Braise last night with a friend for the 3-course dinner! You won’t find better ingredients or a better deal. It is truly a one of a kind dining experience and the food is AMAZING—not to mention generously portioned. From start to finish you get a choice between two delicious appetizers, two main course items, and choice between two desserts. This was my second time to Braise and I look forward to coming back. I had the mushroom risotto and highly recommend it. The waitstaff and bartenders are very friendly and add to the overall experience. Perfect for date night with the hubby, or drinks with your girlfriends!
Angela Zuniga: Great service every time we dine in! Perfect date night or even our larger girls nights out are always a hit when we dine at Braise. The waitstaff makes sure we are well taken care of and and is knowledgeable about the food they are serving. They accommodate our many dietary restrictions and the food is always fresh and delicious! Easily the best date night spot in Milwaukee. A must visit.
Liz Fiene: First time having Xiao long bao and I have never had anything like this before! It was my favorite item we tried of the night, would definitely have again if it appeared back on the menu. I love that the ingredients are local and the menu rotates to bring me out of my comfort zone and try new things. Since m still exploring and determining what flavors I like/don’t like, I enjoy that the bartenders can make me something with just some personal input and some questions. I’ve only been here during the winter season but I am looking forward to patio season and I hope they have the patio/rooftop open in addition to their normal seating once summer hits! I just signed up for their tamales cooking class in May and I am looking forward to seeing this side of the restaurant next!
Megan Fiene: I love coming to Braise and eating in the bar area. Their booths and candle lights give a cozy atmosphere and can make a perfect date night. Sit at the bar to enjoy fun conversations and witness Flan and Evan crafting up the amazing cocktails behind the bar. Even if you don’t see a drink on the menu that catches your eyes, they can make anything you are feeling or give them the freedom to surprise you with a “dealers choice” cocktail. Ingrid Davis: I absolutely cannot express how AMAZING Braise Restaurant & Culinary School was for our reception. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this venue. We reserved the upstairs room, including the outdoor space that provided a beautiful view of the city.Becky Ayala, the restaurant manager, was a dream to work with. She was responsive to my emails and detail-oriented, which was so helpful during the reception planning process.The beautifully decorated room dazzled guests the moment they arrived at Braise and established the vibe for the rest of the room’s design. We also loved having the outdoor space, which was perfectly decorated, with floral arrangements placed everywhere. We opted for a family-style dinner. Locally sourced seasonal food inspired the menu of Mixed Green Salad, Lemon Risotto, Montreal Chicken and Soy Braised Beef. The food was delicious and the two wedding cocktails, Crazy Dave’s Old Fashioned and Rhubarb Lemonade were wonderful and flavorful. Our waiter, Kira and David, our bartender, were exceptional and on top of everything. The timing of the dishes was efficiently paced to allow sufficient time in between dishes.Everything was superb, and our guests raved about the venue and the food. I cannot recommend Becky and her team highly enough. You will not regret booking your venue in Braise.
Chrissi Quinn: We had our wedding dinner here and the catering was phenomenal. We booked out the first floor and the split between cocktails in the bar area and dinner in the dining room was a nice little change of setting. The braised beef, pork buns, and chocolate mouse were hits, guests even took leftovers home. The lemon curd wedding cake made by the pastry chefs was great and beautifully but tastefully decorated. I hope we can come back for all our anniversaries.Wheelchair accessibility: My significant other's mom is in an electric wheelchair and it was easy for her to get in and navigate around the first floor.

Stephanie: I came here with my boyfriend from out of town. We were seated promptly. We had our pics taken by Nick the friendly Valet gent. Our server was mediocre. We were surprised that bread wasn't a staple and we had an upcharge of 2.00 for the 🥨 pretzel bread when the dinner plates were 40 bucks a person. We went here bc it was rated high and we are both of Hermanic descent. I am second generation half Bavarian and Austrian -Irish, while my sweetie is Swiss Irish. Our server could have been more outgoing. But the food, atmosphere,and the greeter and valet were otherwise top notch. We would recommend this destination resteraunt fir sure when in Milwaukee for sure!Parking: We had the sauerbraten and red cabbage. It is outstanding. Paid meter pking or paid valet plenty of pking.

Bradford Sledge: A thoroughly enjoyable meal before a concert downtown. You have to be comfortable with your chair touching a strangers chair, because the tables are packed in, and all the voices make for a lively, loud atmosphere. Personally I liked it. We started with a caprese salad which was very good. They served good, slightly warmed bread and butter, it comes with the meal but we requested it before the meal and they accommodated us. I had the gnocchi and meatballs which was delicious, my wife had the margarita pizza which was also tasty. Nothing was so good I would purposely travel there for, but a very solid choice if you’re in town at dinner time.

Amanda Ramirez: My daughter had just got out of the hospital and she was finally able to eat and all she wanted was rodizios. So my daughter, my boyfriend and I went and it was great. The food is excellent the service is excellent and I recommend this place to anyone. I have already recommended it to a few ofy family members that have went and they did not disappoint. Thank you for being an above average restaurant in the Milwaukee area. Will definitely be going again. Our waitress was I believe her name was Liliana, and she was on point the whole dinner.

Carmen Garcia Sirera: Amilinda delivers authenticity. There are many restaurants out there claiming culinary uniqueness, but at the end they fall short. Amilinda brings the flavors of Spain and Portugal without creating copycat versions of traditional Iberian Peninsula dishes. All the dishes arw prepared and made to deliver an experience. And thar experience does not end with the amazing dishes. The casual but classy ambience can be experienced from the moment walking in, to sitting in the table or counter for dinner, to the interaction with the wonderful staff. Patricia Gabarra: Delicious as always! I dined in with some friends on Feb 7, 2024. It had been a while, as a don’t live in Milwaukee. Everyone loved their appetizers and enthusiastically shared them - Spanish style. I selected the braised endives and their were delicious and a very light and clever preparation. As much as I love tasty veggies I also like meat. So it was a familiar and comforting choice for me: the pork carcamusa. The serving was generous as usual and the good thing about this dish is that it is just as good if not better as a leftover - YUM. The bartender proposed his Spanish twist on a Mai Tai and it was delicious. Service was friendly and casual and the dining atmosphere can’t be beat if you are looking for charm with a genuine flair of a Mediterranean restaurant. It reminds me of home, Spain, every time. Bethany Blount: Quick Update: It's still delicious! I had more restraint than below, but I also came hungrier. They have several delightful crêpe options this season. I wish I could afford to try them all!Absolutely delish! We went for a little brunch and ended up splurging on a three course meal. I made the joke when ordering dessert that I would have to be wheeled out of the restaurant. It was all so good though that my willpower abandoned me. I would highly recommend!
Dave Dunn: Last two times I have gone here I have had bad food. Fried chicken livers way over done, and beef shank was dry and tough, variable were under cooked to he point of being raw. And last time I went somehow my bill came out to $168. I had drinks and bought cocktails mix to go, but just seemed like too much after I thought about it. Not sure if I trust restaurant manger, seemed to be playing around with the bill.
Bel: I had a delicious cup of coffee and ordered the following: Mushroom and spinach waffle. Bread pudding waffle with mushroom duxelle, broccolini, salad, feta, truffle oil, poached eggs and smoked shallot marmalade. Looks great....however, my waffle was burned and BLACK on the bottom. Also one egg was hard in the center, not poached. Not inedible, but it could have been an amazing dish if they hadn't plated the burned waffle. The accompanying salad had a very good dressing....love breakfast with some salad on the plate. Great atmosphere and service. I'll be back.

Steve DiGregorio: First time here from out of town, i sat at the bar for dinner as I was dining alone. The bar tender was very friendly, attentive and had some good suggestions on the menu. I ended up starting with the mussels which were excellent, the sauce was great to dip the warm bread in. The Carbonara was good as well, I thought the portion size was good, in house made pasta, cooked slightly al denté which is exactly how it should be. Very nice. The wine selection is good, with plenty of great Italian wines to choose from, and even wines by the glass had a nice selection. It was a pleasant experience. I will be back.
Mern: Zarletti’s is always food prepared well. Two criticisms exist each time I visit. First is that presented with specials of the day prices should be included or expressed by the server. A diner shouldn’t have to ask. It’s uncomfortable for all concerned and unnecessary.The second relates to GF. Having a GF option available for pasta is very nice. But a $4 addition to the price for something that is not preferential but necessary is a slap in the face even if they do make their own. It says “we don’t really want to do it, but if you insist we will.” As GF pasta is never worth the calories, the added cost makes this menu option easy to pass up.Unfortunately then secondo options as backup are minimal. Having eaten my way around Italy I am aware that flour is not necessary to this portion of an Italian meal. And yet it is at Zarletti’s. Having to eat GF, and having eaten here four times, I have tried all that is possible with two of those choices being specials. Eating the special of the day can possibly be GF but with prices not listed, there’s a 50/50 chance of being costly and prohibitive so the check can be a surprise if you don’t ask the uncomfortable and obvious question. What is bothersome though is that many of the secondo options could easily be GF as would exist in Italy but there is no desire to make it so. So what remains is a sense that GF is not welcome.When all is considered, Zarletti’s is great food. If you’re GF and plan to eat here often your dining options are limited and possibly more costly.Atmosphere rec’d 3 stars because the music is too loud for the small space and the selection doesn’t add to ambiance but is rather an annoyance.

ELVIRA ROCKWELL: Let's just start with the art and the layout, a visual feast, especially with the blacklight art and the wraparound layout of the restaurant. I always wander because I'm a firm believer in the old saying the devil is in detail, and u should always watch for the tail. I really liked the back bar not in use because the artwork on that wall reminded me of aboriginal art. The food was superb. I had a garlic pizza with bacon. Omg just sumptuous. The thin crust had the perfect amount of crunch and tasted so good. Along with it, I had a dark beer and a cocktail. Both were amazing. Lastly, I had the limoncello and flour less chocolate cake, and both of the witch was magically decadent and so worth it. I was downing milk along the way because born wisconsinite and nothing compliments dark chocolate like milk. The service was fast, and the waiters were perfect and funny.

There seems to be some renovations taking place near the entrance door.My husband ordered ‘Ellie’s Chicken Piccata,’ and I had ‘Dana’s Parmesan Crusted Chicken’. We’ve both had these dishes at other CH locations and found them to taste just as good here. The pretzel bread seemed fresher at this location than others we’ve been to. We both drank water and shared a picture of peach Sangria. The sangria was good, but I found it to be more sweeter than my liking.The service was pretty efficient. We did not have reservations. We were seated right away which shocked me because it was a Sunday afternoon.Great amount of free parking space!

I truly appreciated his expertise with explaining the details of some of the dishes I had questions on. Dayton recommended the red wine beef short ribs, and it did not disappoint, it was super tender, moist and flavorful. Erika Pedersen: The only pre fee coursed meal I'd experienced before coming to Ardent was Thomas Keller's Per Se.... Let me tell you, this experience at Ardent exceeded every past "elite" dining experience I've had.Each course was well thought out and beautifully executed. Highlights on our menu were the curry carrot cake and the uni onion soup. Each course held an element of surprise and finesse. I asked my boyfriend to take my back here for my birthday. Everyone cross your fingers!!!!
John Ess: Definitely one of the best restaurants I have ever eaten at in the world. Every dish was fantastic. The food was very interesting, with innovative ingredients. More importantly, unlike some fine dining restaurants, they made sure that every innovative dish was absolutely delicious. Particularly the koji ice cream with brown rice and caviar, the shiitake rooibos tea, and the madras carrot cake. They also made great substitutions for my pescatarian wife. Excellent beverage pairing as well, and perfect portion sizes. Can't wait to come back!Vegetarian options: They can make a vegetarian tasting menu, with great veggie options.

Keith Wisniewski: Stopped by for the opening of the lounge, and it exceeded expectations. The quality is the exact same you would expect from their tasting menu, the prices are more than reasonable for the quality, and the staff is top notch as usual.The lounge idea turned Ardent from an annual event location to a spot for a usual date night.If you don't at least try it, you're missing out.
Jamie: We went here for our 10 year wedding anniversary. This was the greatest dining experience we have ever had. The staff were wonderful and kind. The food was outstanding. It was cool to see the kitchen plating and have every dish explained. Highly suggest getting the wine pairing. I have never had a drink paired so well with the food. It brought out so many different flavors. Everyone made you feel welcomed and answered any questions we may have had. Overall 10/10 experience. We can not wait to go back!! Thank you for an amazing night and experience!
Jason Brewer: Ardent’s Door County Residency at Hidden Acres Farm was Classy, Cozy, Relaxed and most importantly DELICIOUS!! Justin and his AMAZING colleagues did a fantastic job and the setting couldn’t have been anymore BEAUTIFUL😊I would HIGHLY recommend taking advantage of dining with Ardent in Door County if you have the opportunity!

Kura Orange: 10/10! If I could rate this place higher I really would. We came in on a busy night expecting not to be seated or a long wait but was happily proven wrong. The staff here were amazing with getting us a table. While waiting on our drinks, the owner took the time to sit down with us and helped us make our selections. She didn't have to because I already did my research on the menu but it was nice of her to do this for us. She was so welcoming and her presence is going to be the reason we will be coming back !

Jcg Gee: Went here for the first time yesterday for a family members birthday. Not the best atmosphere at all. The place is kind of dark and the decor is really dated. But the service was great. Majority of The food items we selected to share were really good. The cocktails were amazing as well. I am not a huge fan of sharable plates. But I enjoyed the restaurant.
Jingwen: **Great Spot!** Just came from La Merenda and had to share—what a refreshing change! Even though it was busy, our server made sure everything went smoothly. Food came out surprisingly fast, and every interaction was just pleasant. Really made our night compared to the earlier hassle we had. Thumbs up to La Merenda for nailing it on the service front!

Jennifer Fjelsted: Stopped here for lunch and had a great time. The food was excellent and so was the atmosphere. The service really stood out! Our server, Joe, was friendly, attentive, gave us excellent menu recommendations and really elevated our experience. He was also training a new server, Tori, and she was great too! If you’re looking for great food and great service this is the place to go!
Andrew McCauley: We just going into town, and we are looking for somewhere to have a nice drink and a relax. We came across blue bat, and we were very pleasantly surprised. The Bowman was very friendly, knowledgeable about all of the drinks, and also suggested some tasty options. The view from the bar was great, although it was raining and cloudy, we still enjoyed ourselves immensely. If you’re going to come here, make sure you put aside some hours to enjoy the atmosphere and the bar.

Cheyito: Go strictly for the atmosphere, lots to see and experience. Fun from the start as you have to locate the entrance. The entrance is now manned, as before you had to figure how to get in. Camera there and people watching you inside fumble around. This WAS fun. The person now will ask you for the password so get it unless you want to prove you are not a double agent by doing a task. If ever possible get the booth that revolves so you can make a quick getaway if there ever is any KGB danger. The food is unique but you can't be a picky eater. The flavor of the burgers is okay, the brisket was mid level. The price and portions of food are disproportionate. The servers are friendly but seemed rushed and rushed to get you out.
