Anne Siegel: Osher rocks! In preparation for teaching a Zoom class to elementary school children in French, I contacted one of the Osher members and received some specialized tools for moving forward with my project. Her 'tips' helped me lead the virtual class with a minimal amount of missteps. I gained a lot of confidence after working individually with Laurie, as well as attending her regular Zoom tutorials for all Osher members. Love the variety of programs, too!
Gwen Benner: Osher at UWM has provided a plethora of stimulating programs for lifelong learners in a community of fellow students who have become colleagues and good friends.

Marvin Wiener: The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UWM is an adult learning extension of UW Milwaukee that has brought learning experiences to many intellectually curious senior citizens in the greater Milwaukee area. It differentiates itself from other adult learning activities by the breadth of topics, the active participation in the organization by over 100 volunteers, the caliber of the presenters, and the continued pursuit of excellence through surveys of members and evaluation of the classes offered. The high caliber of the organization is reflected in its rapid adoption of virtual teaching made necessary by the COVID pandemic. The Institute didn't miss a beat in moving to a virtual platform. It has the technical expertise and member dedication to pull that off almost seamlessly. I'm proud to be a member of an organization that recognize me as an individual and values my input and membership.
Chris Schlosser: The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute is a great way to continue to learn new and interesting things - as well as meet other people. They have done a great job of shifting to all online classes during the pandemic. These classes have been a great way to stay in touch and learn while safer at home.

Michael Coleman, the schools head instructor, was teaching an advanced class and I was immediately impressed with not only his skill physically, but also his knowledge of the history and ‘way’ of martial arts. I signed up for class the next day. That chance encounter was nearly nine years ago and I have been going to the Futen Dojo every week since then. In that time I have had experiences that, I believe, cannot be offered anywhere else. Even with years of experience, I learn something new in every class, which will always have me coming back for more. I am very glad to be a part of the Futen Dojo family.

Rachel Waughlen: Truly the best! I wasn’t sure my daughter would be that into karate but it’s so much more than that. They teach control and discipline in such a fun and creative way. The black belts have such enthusiasm about what they do and their interaction with each child. I have no negatives about this place.
Jennifer Apps: Anyone looking for that "thing" for your child, that activity that helps them feel confident, strong, build coordination and athleticism - this is IT! The instructors as all incredible, the curriculum is wholistic, and the experiences build character and leadership!

My son left because of other activities, but we will surely come back here if he wants to continue karate in the future.

My son and I have both been members here for 3 1/2 years and this has been a wonderful experience for both of us. While they focus mostly on karate, we have also had the opportunity to learn weapon skills, grappling and a smattering of other disciplines which is perfect for becomming a well-rounded martial artist in today's MMA focused world. Whether you are here to learn some effective self-defense skills along with a great work-out, or to become a competition caliber martial artist, I highly recommend Black Belt Leadership Academy.

We don’t live near here but will definitely come back.
Ray Juaire: A true hidden gem in Bay View, about 8 minutes south of the historic Third Ward District, downtown Milwaukee. We tried their version of crab Rangoon, it was great. We had one pork Ramen dish and a teriyaki tofu dish. The Ramen was the best I've had. The teriyaki was perfect, not to saucy or sweet. Service was great, food came out fast. We went there on a Wednesday at 5 and it was packed. That tells you locals dig it!

Cyndi Kramer: Another first for me, I don't know what I was waiting for....it was yummy.This was lunch with a friend on her recommendation. The food was delicious, the server was friendly and fast, and the atmosphere was basic but clean.We had little veggie dumplings to start and they were a good omen about what was to come. One dish was a sort of sticky glazed chicken with cashews that I practically finished by licking the plate. The other was a forgettable black garlic chicken dish was bland and unexciting. Not bad, just not interesting.

Would definitely go back and try again maybe just a different roll next time.

B Maza: Easy Tyger, a cozy ramen spot on Brady Street, promises a flavorful experience through Japan's iconic dish—quite possibly the best to be found in Milwaukee. The tonkatsu ramen was flavorful with its perfectly textured noodles, soft-boiled egg, and tender pork belly. But a tad more attention to the broth could elevate the experience by adding more robust flavors expected in a classic ramen bowl. Additionally, the abundance of seaweed may overwhelm some palates. Despite this, Easy Tyger's warm atmosphere and authentic flavors make it a destination worth revisiting for a ramen rendezvous in this vibrant and eclectic neighborhood.
