I had no idea on where to take my ring to be resized.I asked my friends for recommendations and no one had any jewelers they felt comfortable recommending. My wife then searched for nearby options and was intrigued when she came across the Jewelers guild online. They not only offered repair but also specialized in teaching the craft of jewelry making. This sounded like exactly what we were looking for. A firm that not only offered repair services but also felt the importance in sharing their knowledge and skills to others.Upon arriving at the Jewelers Guild, my wife and I explained what we wanted done. While we were drawing up the paperwork to get my ring resized, they offered a free cleaning and evaluation of her engagement ring. Later, when we got to the point where we were discussing the time required for the repair and we mentioned that we were going on our 30th anniversary trip in just two days. If the repair would take longer than that, it would be no problem for us, but it may be a week or so before we could return and pick it up. After checking, they felt that they would be able to have the resizing done in time for our trip. I was amazed and excited to know it would ready in time for the trip.Shortly after the gentleman who had cleaned my wife’s ring returned. He pointed out that the 30 years of daily use had taken a toll on my wife’s ring. One of the prongs holding in the diamond was altogether missing and other prongs had deteriorated significantly. Upon learning that, we expected that we would have to wait until after our trip to have my wife’s ring repaired.To our astonishment, they said that, although they typically charge more for next day turnaround, they would complete both rings in one days’ time, at the original price quoted. It was clear they understood and appreciated our rings importance and wanted to be sure we had them in time for our trip.The next afternoon, we received the call to come in and pick up our rings. When we arrived to pick them up, we were delighted to see the care and craftsmanship that went into the repairs. My ring looked as good as the day it was first purchased and it fit perfectly. It was impossible to tell that the ring had been made 2 sizes larger. My wife’s wedding ring was also repaired with the same care attention to detail. It gave us great assurance knowing that the diamond was again properly mounted and was ready for the next 30 years of use. Best of all, we had them both rings in time for our trip.I simply cannot say enough about the Jewelers guild. Their craftsmanship and helpful friendly service exceeded our every explication. Now, if I am ever asked about where to go for jewelry repair or unique, one of a kind jewelry, I have place that I can confidently recommend to everyone I know.

I only didn't like how I purchased $1750 earrings and they didnt give me any type of grading certificate other than a barely readable and off-center fax to my email a few days later.Cmon, guys...even Sam's Club gave a cool looking card and physical certificate so I can insure their stuff easy. Coming in later today to look around, see you there! Earn that 5th star from me, I wanna give it to you!

Kaity, was ever so patient with me as we were working on this project when I would come back to MKE to visit/check on my Pops, while still living in MA. They also gave me a great appraisal of an older Rolex that I inherited from my Pops and wound it for me NUMEROUS times prior to my purchasing a watch winder so that the date and name of the day would stay in check. If you have an old school Rolex, while timeless, they are a pain in the rear to deal with in that aspect.Since moving home, Powers has always taken the time to buff my jewelry, both that which I had purchased from them as well as other pieces. Today I went in and was greeted with kindness and professionalism, regardless of me looking like a "gym rat". A C: I have nothing but great things to say about Treiber & Straub. The location is convenient, and the store itself has a wide variety of beautiful jewelry and luxury watches for sale. While I am a big fan of Cartier and Omega watches that T&S sells, I had my sights set on adding another Rolex to my collection. This was to be my first purchase from this store, after moving to Wisconsin from the east coast a couple years prior.I am no stranger to the way the Rolex market works nowadays, and my SA Lisa was very upfront about this on my first visit last year. It is difficult to obtain a new Rolex at an AD, and there is no way around it. She was not rude or condescending in any way, which is an attitude I have unfortunately experienced at other ADs on the east coast. In fact, Lisa was very helpful and accommodating every time I'd stop in, even though I had changed my mind a couple of times regarding exactly what I wanted.I had expressed interest in a 41mm Datejust, but just this past week stopped by to try on the 41 vs 36mm and felt that the 36mm fit me better. I let Lisa know, and less than a week later she called me to let me know that a watch with the exact specs I had desired was available!It's an absolutely beautiful watch, and the service provided was 5-stars. The Datejust isn't the most expensive watch I own, nor the most expensive watch Rolex offers by far, but on each visit I felt like I was getting white glove treatment like I was buying a solid gold Daytona. This location also has a certified Rolex watchmaker on staff -- I've had my GMT Master II Sprite resized here completely free of charge, despite having purchased at a different AD back east. I was also told that they offer free steam cleaning for watches - for example if taken on vacation and exposed to beaches where the sand may get in between the bracelet links and cause damage/stretch over time.You can bet I'll be back, whether just to chat and see what there is in stock, or when I set my sights on the next timepiece I hope to add to my collection.
