Cavas: what do users think?

Justin Thomaas: Tonight we had our first experience at Cavas, and it was absolutely incredible. Ana and her husband did an excellent job of making us feel welcome and comfortable in their restaurant. The drinks, food, and service were some of the best we’ve experienced in Milwaukee since moving here in 2020. Ana made a point to come to the table multiple times to explain what was being served as part of the prix fixe menu. The menu selection was truly wonderful. We also added on the wine pairing which was excellent. We will definitely be back!

Pat Locante: What an amazing find this quaint restaurant was for me and my husband. We were looking for a new place downtown and Cavas appeared in my search. We have taken family and friends there several times and recently held a private event there. Everyone we have introduced to this hidden Milwaukee gem has enjoyed their visit! Ana never disappoints! Her culinary skills are fantastic and we have sampled most all of what is offered on the menu. Some of our absolute favorites are the Pimiento, stuffed dates, empanadas, paella and all of the desserts. I could seriously list all of the offerings on the menu as there is nothing we haven't enjoyed. My only caution is if you don't want to be disappointed ... Make a Reservation! I wouldn't want anyone to set their sights on a fabulous dinner at Cavas and it be too busy to get in.

erica chivilo: I had such an amazing experience! This restaurant is fantastic! Delicious food and the service is outstanding!! It was my 1st time visiting Milwaukee and I definitely recommend trying this restaurant at least once!Silly me, after dinner, I forgot my MasterCard at the restaurant and flew back to Texas, the staff was so kind to mail me back my card. They definitely go above and beyond for their clients! Thank you for the amazing experience ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Story Hill BKC: what do users think?

Bethany Blount: Quick Update: It's still delicious! I had more restraint than below, but I also came hungrier. They have several delightful crêpe options this season. I wish I could afford to try them all!Absolutely delish! We went for a little brunch and ended up splurging on a three course meal. I made the joke when ordering dessert that I would have to be wheeled out of the restaurant. It was all so good though that my willpower abandoned me. I would highly recommend!

Dave Dunn: Last two times I have gone here I have had bad food. Fried chicken livers way over done, and beef shank was dry and tough, variable were under cooked to he point of being raw. And last time I went somehow my bill came out to $168. I had drinks and bought cocktails mix to go, but just seemed like too much after I thought about it. Not sure if I trust restaurant manger, seemed to be playing around with the bill.

Bel: I had a delicious cup of coffee and ordered the following: Mushroom and spinach waffle. Bread pudding waffle with mushroom duxelle, broccolini, salad, feta, truffle oil, poached eggs and smoked shallot marmalade. Looks great....however, my waffle was burned and BLACK on the bottom. Also one egg was hard in the center, not poached. Not inedible, but it could have been an amazing dish if they hadn't plated the burned waffle. The accompanying salad had a very good dressing....love breakfast with some salad on the plate. Great atmosphere and service. I'll be back.

Swingin' Door Exchange: what do users think?

Maggie Wampole: Kid-friendliness: My kids enjoyed the provided board games while we waited for our lunch!Recommended dishes Soup, Chop …

Jezzie O: Right off the bat... friendly attentative hosteses. The restaurant was beautiful. Great bread and sparkling waterr upon request. The drinks were tasty and robust. The salad was fresh and crisp. I choose the filet medallions with foie gras... it was nothing less than ahhhmazing. I definitely recommend. Amilinda: what do users think?

Carmen Garcia Sirera: Amilinda delivers authenticity. There are many restaurants out there claiming culinary uniqueness, but at the end they fall short. Amilinda brings the flavors of Spain and Portugal without creating copycat versions of traditional Iberian Peninsula dishes. All the dishes arw prepared and made to deliver an experience. And thar experience does not end with the amazing dishes. The casual but classy ambience can be experienced from the moment walking in, to sitting in the table or counter for dinner, to the interaction with the wonderful staff. Love coming here not just for special occasions, but anytime we want exceptional food delivered with a wonderful time.

Patricia Gabarra: Delicious as always! I dined in with some friends on Feb 7, 2024. It had been a while, as a don’t live in Milwaukee. Everyone loved their appetizers and enthusiastically shared them - Spanish style. I selected the braised endives and their were delicious and a very light and clever preparation. As much as I love tasty veggies I also like meat. So it was a familiar and comforting choice for me: the pork carcamusa. The serving was generous as usual and the good thing about this dish is that it is just as good if not better as a leftover - YUM. The bartender proposed his Spanish twist on a Mai Tai and it was delicious. Service was friendly and casual and the dining atmosphere can’t be beat if you are looking for charm with a genuine flair of a Mediterranean restaurant. It reminds me of home, Spain, every time. Thank you Amilinda team!Vegetarian options: There has always been a nice vegetarian option every time I’ve been.

Mo’s...A Place for Steaks: what do users think?

Kimberly Knuckles: In Milwaukee for The Blues Fest and what a marvelous time it was. But First we had to put something special on our stomach before the show. Bon Appetit baby!!! We both order the Pesto Salmon and Potatoes, the sides was so plentiful we shared the Sumptuous Wigdor Lobster Mac n cheese and Brussels sprouts, 🔥🔥🔥. We sat in the lounge area enjoying the Piano being played, some really good notes that I knew the song too. It was definitely a nite to Remember. Will be back to try the steak for sure. 10/10. ✌🏽🖤KimParking: Valet $10

Stefano Bertera: Had Dinner with colleaguesIs a Nice Stakehouse for the city ...Nice dishes choices. Not the best food I've ever have dut ok ... probably there is to much butter for my taste .. but is good food .Service is quick and 👍

Ron Andrews: Great food but more importantly the service is best in class.

Caleb Krause: We used the valet, walked in, and were greeted quickly by the hostess. The downstairs was full on a Friday night so they seated us upstairs. I preferred this because it was quieter and felt more relaxed. The pepperjack mac and cheese was really good, but came out a bit cold. Steak was cooked properly, but was pretty tough for a filet. Served and runner were both polite and not overly conversational, which I appreciated.

Tori Tomlin: Carnevor is an absolute gem for steak lovers! Their steaks are hands down one of the best I've ever tasted. Cooked to perfection, each bite was a delight. The ambiance is upscale yet inviting, making it the perfect spot for a special occasion. The service was impeccable, with knowledgeable staff ensuring every detail of our dining experience was perfect. If you're in the mood for top-quality steak, Carnevor is the place to be!

Heath Parrott: and found another table for us to enjoy our dinner. The service assistant staff was quick, efficient and professional. Our steaks were cooked properly and well seasoned. Even if you are full - at least split a desert. We will go back.

The Capital Grille: what do users think?

Joseph Henderson: Capital Grill is always one of my favorites. I love the service but for some reason I have been a little disappointed in their food. This round had lobster bisque and salmon with couscous. The lobster bisque was amazing. The salmon and couscous lacked flavor and salt. I know salt is objective but even when added it lacked other flavors. I am providing a great review because service is always top notch.

Ray Tyers: Fantastic Ribeye 22 oz of heaven. Our server, Angel, was perfectly attuned to our needs and kept us well lubricatedDefinitely a must go

Sanford: what do users think?

Billy Harlow: Wonderful food Cozy atmosphere, very good for romantic evenings. The wife and I will definitely be going here again.Recommended dishes …

Scott V: Omylort was this good.We chose the 7 course tasting with pairing and could not have been more pleased.Of all the dishes the scallop was probably my favorite for one simple reason... I liked it. Normally I will not eat scallops because the texture or flavor or both are a turn off, but not with these. These had enough firmness to not be jell-o-ie, yet still weren't tough. They didn't have a 'dirty' flavor that I often experience, but had a very nice caramel crisp from being seared. Talking to our waiter, it turns out they get them "dry packed" and that maintains the freshness as though straight off the boat.Whatever the reason, WOW.Now for what was my real favorite turned out to be the goose sausage and duck, although personal preference is that the duck be just slightly more cooked, that did not take away from the dish.Every bit of love a chef could put into their profession went into this meal. Were it proper to give a huge to the person that pleased the tastes this well, I'd go back just to give a firm embrace of thanks.Amazing, thank you.

Rodizio Grill Brazilian Steakhouse Milwaukee: what do users think?

Amanda Ramirez: My daughter had just got out of the hospital and she was finally able to eat and all she wanted was rodizios. So my daughter, my boyfriend and I went and it was great. The food is excellent the service is excellent and I recommend this place to anyone. I have already recommended it to a few ofy family members that have went and they did not disappoint. Thank you for being an above average restaurant in the Milwaukee area. Will definitely be going again. Our waitress was I believe her name was Liliana, and she was on point the whole dinner.

Omayra Sheppard: This is one of my favorite restaurants in Milwaukee. The staff is always friendly and I absolutely love all the different options in food.Recommended dishes Brazilian Limeade, Grilled Pineapple, Selection of Meats, Mashed Potatoes …

Ben Chambers:

Grilled Pineapple Selection of Meats Fish Ceviche Fried Bananas …

Morel: what do users think?

Kathryn O'Donnell: I had dinner there tonight. I ordered the lamb carpaccio. It was absolute heaven! I can not wait to go back for this dish and to try everything else on the menu. When I called to make reservations for 1, they saved me a spot at the bar to watch the chefs in action. This restaurant is obsessive. Very excited to check out the wine dinners they are offering.I finally feel like Milwaukee is growing on me after moving here 9 months ago.

Jason: Lots of wood and brick inside. A giant chalkboard of local farms that support the restaurant is displayed over the bar area. Pretty sure everything on the menu is sourced locally, at least that was the impression I got. This really shows in the flavors.Food portions are incredibly generous for the price. This is the spot to go for morel mushrooms if they are in season.Drinks are great. Nice balance of flavors there too. Main course Trout is really fantastic. This was completely deboned, but presented as whole. Hopefully that's how all their fish is served.Dessert fell a bit short compared to the flavor, creativity and ingredients in the starters and mains. Maybe I just picked the wrong one. Would come back.

Michelle Alvarez: and the trout. They managed to make the polenta taste cheesy, and it was super savory. It was the only time I've liked it. The mushrooms served on top were tangy and a perfect pair with the polenta. The trout was very tender and had big flavor. The duck breast and rabbit ragout were also great. I enjoyed the goat cheesecake. I was skeptical because goat cheese can have a strong flavor, but it was perfect. There was a large selection of wine and delicious cocktails. Beautiful interior with lots of warm lighting and artwork. A very welcoming place. I would absolutely return, mostly for that polenta!

Kristi Duban: I rarely leave reviews but I can’t help myself with this one… this place was absolutely amazing, I truly have no idea what took me so long to make it here. The food was incredible, highlights for me being the pork shoulder and beef short rib… cooked to perfection. The goat cheesecake was to die for. Service was top notch. Start to finish it was such an excellent meal and already can’t wait to go back.

Zarletti: what do users think?

Edward Kutz: was terrific all evening, with great timing. All 10 of us we delighted with our meals. Thank you so much for a great evening!

Steve DiGregorio: First time here from out of town, i sat at the bar for dinner as I was dining alone. The bar tender was very friendly, attentive and had some good suggestions on the menu. I ended up starting with the mussels which were excellent, the sauce was great to dip the warm bread in. The Carbonara was good as well, I thought the portion size was good, in house made pasta, cooked slightly al denté which is exactly how it should be. Very nice. The wine selection is good, with plenty of great Italian wines to choose from, and even wines by the glass had a nice selection. It was a pleasant experience. I will be back.

Mern: Zarletti’s is always food prepared well. Two criticisms exist each time I visit. First is that presented with specials of the day prices should be included or expressed by the server. A diner shouldn’t have to ask. It’s uncomfortable for all concerned and unnecessary. The second relates to GF. Having a GF option available for pasta is very nice. But a $4 addition to the price for something that is not preferential but necessary is a slap in the face even if they do make their own. It says “we don’t really want to do it, but if you insist we will.” As GF pasta is never worth the calories, the added cost makes this menu option easy to pass up.Unfortunately then secondo options as backup are minimal. Having eaten my way around Italy I am aware that flour is not necessary to this portion of an Italian meal. And yet it is at Zarletti’s. Having to eat GF, and having eaten here four times, I have tried all that is possible with two of those choices being specials. Eating the special of the day can possibly be GF but with prices not listed, there’s a 50/50 chance of being costly and prohibitive so the check can be a surprise if you don’t ask the uncomfortable and obvious question. What is bothersome though is that many of the secondo options could easily be GF as would exist in Italy but there is no desire to make it so. So what remains is a sense that GF is not welcome. When all is considered, Zarletti’s is great food. If you’re GF and plan to eat here often your dining options are limited and possibly more costly.Atmosphere rec’d 3 stars because the music is too loud for the small space and the selection doesn’t add to ambiance but is rather an annoyance.

Five O'Clock Steakhouse: what do users think?

Erick García: Best place ever with the best service... recommended 100% but people as well should show some love to the security guard and bless him with something you know... him as the valet guy are both taking care of us and our properties just saying but other than that the best place in Wisconsin love it...

Michael Allen: Service and vibe, this place has both and more, we felt like I stepped back in time. I rarely order prime rib and stick with traditional steak cuts but this prime rib was excellent. My girl had the bacon wrapped filet cooked perfect. Creamed spinach yes please, mash potatoes excellent. Really good Tiramisu with a surprisingly decent espresso.Don’t forget the great cocktails and ask for Faye!

Tre Rivali: what do users think?

Judy Pena: If you are looking for Mediterranean foods and big flavors that you typically would find in big cities like Chicago, Paris or Miami, this place has it!! Have been here several times and absolutely LOVE this place. The lamb kafta is the best I’ve had in the Milwaukee area. Moist, tender and bursting with flavor! The Mediterranean salad is ELITE. Their non-alcoholic drinks are also delicious.Janet was our server the first time we went and this last time. She is absolutely awesome and gives the best recommendations for foods to try! She’s very attentive and has they best calm energy and vibe. Shout out to Janet!!Can’t wait to go back!!!

Dori H: . My husband enjoyed it. I tried the Butter cake with toffee ice cream. It was sinfully delicious. I was just too full to finish. It brought me back to when I was kid a Christmas time....

Angie Kirchner: up on the beautiful rooftop bar, The Outsider. Our server Ashley was very attentive there as well. We could not have had a better experience! This has to be the BEST of the BEST in Milwaukee! Thank you all!!

Em S: We used to frequent Tre Rivali and hadn't been in a while. It's just as good if not better, and the service is, as always, impeccable.Drinks are fantastic and you cannot skip their desserts. I'm so glad this place made it all the way through Covid and still maintained all their integrity.A must go to in Milwaukee!

Rich K: was phenomenal. Still thinking about the tostones and burger the next day! Also don't miss the banana bread for dessert, the perfect way to end the meal! Also tried the mezcalculated risk cocktail and highly recommend. Sad I was driving so I could only have one.Definitely somewhere we will return to again in the future and recommend to anyone

Joe Turek: Fantastic meal, can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu.

terri c: This was our first time at the Diplomat, and we won’t hesitate to return…. But diners need to be prepared to drop a bit of cash, and possibly leave a bit hungry. Food is fabulous, creative and 5 star all the way…. But portions are small for the price. Example: 1 piece of sourdough bread with butter $8. Mind you, it was one of the best pieces of bread I’ve had in a long time, but may also be the generous amount of butter you can slather on it. The ambience is like a 1960’s living room …. Great decor!Vegetarian options: They have a delicious Rissoto, snd several small vegetarian small plates.

Natalie Frakes: Was visiting Milwaukee for a minute and wanted a nice dinner. This was a beautiful experience! Got to talking with some locals at the bar and Hannah as well. Excellent drinks and food and even better service.Got a couple glasses of wine to pair with the steak I ordered. Delicious and cooked perfectly. Thanks for a nice night after a gig!

Madyun Wilson: Although we only sat at the bar The Diplomat is an amazing hidden treasure. We received 5-star dining service on Brady which is a very energetic neighborhood. Parking was quicker than usual and we were seated immediately. Our waiters and bartenders were exceptional representing this fine establishment. The steak was cooked to perfection the short rib as well. The hash brown fish fry was to die for and the drinks are strong! What more could we ask for, definitely an upscale choice I would consider again!

Buckley's Restaurant & Bar: what do users think?

Brandon Newman: Absolutely fantastic! After a long day of traveling and an afternoon walking all around Milwaukee, I came to Buckley’s with my parents for dinner. This converted home has been turned into a fancy-casual restaurant with an exquisite atmosphere. I tried the Broccoli starter, which came with a nice miso tahini sauce that provided a unique flavor. The Buckley Burger was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. The meat itself was so high quality and full of flavor, and the crisp brioche bun and toppings and condiments complimented the burger perfectly. I also had the Lobster pasta and it lives up to how delicious a lobster dish has to be. Absolute class when it came to combining the lemon and tomato flavors with the lobster in a light pasta dish. My Dad also says the salmon dish he had was really good. For dessert, it was hard to choose which of Mrs. Buckley’s items to get. We got the famous carrot cake and the seasonal St. Patrick’s cheesecake. All I know is that Mrs. Buckley doesn’t miss! Both desserts were so delicious and the high quality showed once again. The service was great, too. We were never rushed even with the restaurant being packed. The waitress was very nice, answered questions, and told us a little bit about the Buckley family. On top of everything mentioned, the pricing was very good and the portions were large. Overall, this is a restaurant I trust after my first visit. You can’t go wrong with Buckley’s. 5 STARS!!!!!

Robert Whitehurst: A beautiful restaurant with excellent food. I had to sit at the bar because I did not have reservations. To be fair it was Valentine's weekend.I took an out of town guest for dinner and his initial impression was that it was very "fancy". However, after dinner he confessed that it was one of the best meals he had every eaten. He travels for business and eats in many restaurants. He proclaimed that it is certainly a hidden gem in Milwaukee and would definitely return when he is in town.

Steven: Fried artichokes, cheesecake, and carrot cake were particularly amazing! Great service & ambiance too.Prices very reasonable for this high quality of food.

R Elle: , wine and divine desserts - everything was perfect. Carlie and Taylor “had me at hello” because they were both good listeners trying to understand my goals and needs. Buckley’s is higher end and worth it! Call ahead to get a sense of parking. Just amazing & thank you!

Katie B: in the cooking and baking. I had Mahi Mahi on a bed of pasta and pesto. Delicious. Appetizer special was bread served with a delicious cheese and a cheese spread. Just O.K. All four of us enjoyed our meals. Each dish had multiple tastes that came together beautifully. We will be back. Recommend calling to get direction on parking. We heard

Melissa Mondragon: The building is beautiful! The food was perfection. From the truffle fried artichokes to the seafood risotto and the salmon to the tuxedo cheesecake. The sangria had the most delicious combination of spices. This place is for foodies! You will not be disappointed. Ask for Joe to be your waiter. He's exceptional! 10/10 would recommend this wonderful establishment to everyone!

Mader's Restaurant: what do users think?

Stephanie: I came here with my boyfriend from out of town. We were seated promptly. We had our pics taken by Nick the friendly Valet gent. Our server was mediocre. We were surprised that bread wasn't a staple and we had an upcharge of 2.00 for the 🥨 pretzel bread when the dinner plates were 40 bucks a person. We went here bc it was rated high and we are both of Hermanic descent. I am second generation half Bavarian and Austrian -Irish, while my sweetie is Swiss Irish. Our server could have been more outgoing. But the food, atmosphere, and the greeter and valet were otherwise top notch. We would recommend this destination resteraunt fir sure when in Milwaukee for sure!Parking: We had the sauerbraten and red cabbage. It is outstanding. Paid meter pking or paid valet plenty of pking.

Эрик А: Got to skip school while on a trip to this restaurant. Didn't even try any dishes. Freakin' love this place.Update: the waitress is kinda a hottie ngl.I've arrived again, THE WAITRESS IS FIRE!!! I recommend it to everyone.

Ellen Breithaupt: I started with liver dumpling soup, which was delicious, & much to my surprise my granddaughter loved it! I then had salmon from the “lighter side” of the menu, it was delicious, perfectly prepared & served atop red bell pepper flavored spaetzle. My granddaughter said her chicken fingers & fries were the best she’s ever had!Our major letdown was the Apple strudel. Mader’s desserts have been wonderful in the past. This wasn’t! It was apples wrapped up in phyllo

Dave Maier: The long hallway in the back of the restaurant has pictures of all the celebrities that have dined there. Pretty fun to look at.I HIGHLY recommend Maders

Maxie's: what do users think?

Ryan Ludwikowski: We stopped in for a weeknight birthday dinner and were quite impressed. The jambalaya is absolutely AMAZING!! Best I've ever had. Our server Dan was friendly and attentive without being bothersome. We topped the night off with some delicious take home Key lime pie and bread pudding. We will be back again soon!

Kimberly Shingledecker: Maxie’s is one of our favorite happy hour or dinner spots. Drinks are top notch, oysters are as fresh as can be, food is authentic and homemade. I have yet to experience a host, bartender, or server who. Was not 100% friendly, happy, helpful, and fun! I cannot recommend this place enough! In fact, we usually take some extra gumbo to-go after dinner to enjoy for lunch the next day!

Denine Hammond: Embarking on a flavorful journey, this Southern-style haven promises a feast for the senses. The golden-brown perfection of the fried chicken strikes a harmonious chord between crispy and succulent, capturing the essence of Southern cuisine. The Mac and Cheese, a velvety symphony of gooey indulgence, is a testament to comfort food at its finest. Together, they create a dynamic duo that embodies the heart and soul of Southern cooking. The warm hospitality and charming ambiance makes this a favorite on my list! And they are shellfish allergy friendlyDietary restrictions: Shellfish allergy friendly

Third Coast Provisions: what do users think?

Scott W: . I had the very interesting Old Fashioned, made with Rum and coffee flavor. I'm not a coffee drinker but enjoyed it. The Pinot Noir for my partner was also very good.We shared a combination of small plates including; the Tuna Crispy Rice, Roasted Scallops, and Duck Carnitas Tacos. All excellent choices. The only issue we had was that the spinach on the scallops plate was extremely spicy

Sean Casper: After celebrating Valentine's Day there, I couldn't be more impressed with the exceptional service provided by their staff. Despite a delay in our reservation time, they were incredibly accommodating not only to us but to other patrons as well. The gesture of offering a gift card to Flour Child while we waited was a delightful touch, and it's a testament to their dedication to customer satisfaction. I highly commend Third Coast Provisions and their team for their outstanding customer service. They truly went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable dining experience. Keep up the fantastic work! 😊

Nicole: I really enjoyed my dining experience here. Beautiful ambiance, great staff and good food. Food is good but not over the top amazing. I will definitely go back again to see if I can enjoy a truly amazing culinary experience.
