Morgan S: Stopped in at Braise last night with a friend for the 3-course dinner! You won’t find better ingredients or a better deal. It is truly a one of a kind dining experience and the food is AMAZING—not to mention generously portioned. From start to finish you get a choice between two delicious appetizers, two main course items, and choice between two desserts. This was my second time to Braise and I look forward to coming back. I had the mushroom risotto and highly recommend it. The waitstaff and bartenders are very friendly and add to the overall experience. Perfect for date night with the hubby, or drinks with your girlfriends!

The waitstaff makes sure we are well taken care of and and is knowledgeable about the food they are serving. They accommodate our many dietary restrictions and the food is always fresh and delicious! Easily the best date night spot in Milwaukee. A must visit.

Liz Fiene: First time having Xiao long bao and I have never had anything like this before! It was my favorite item we tried of the night, would definitely have again if it appeared back on the menu. I love that the ingredients are local and the menu rotates to bring me out of my comfort zone and try new things. Since m still exploring and determining what flavors I like/don’t like, I enjoy that the bartenders can make me something with just some personal input and some questions. I’ve only been here during the winter season but I am looking forward to patio season and I hope they have the patio/rooftop open in addition to their normal seating once summer hits! I just signed up for their tamales cooking class in May and I am looking forward to seeing this side of the restaurant next!

Sit at the bar to enjoy fun conversations and witness Flan and Evan crafting up the amazing cocktails behind the bar. We reserved the upstairs room, including the outdoor space that provided a beautiful view of the city.Becky Ayala, the restaurant manager, was a dream to work with. She was responsive to my emails and detail-oriented, which was so helpful during the reception planning process.The beautifully decorated room dazzled guests the moment they arrived at Braise and established the vibe for the rest of the room’s design. We also loved having the outdoor space, which was perfectly decorated, with floral arrangements placed everywhere. We opted for a family-style dinner. Locally sourced seasonal food inspired the menu of Mixed Green Salad, Lemon Risotto, Montreal Chicken and Soy Braised Beef. The food was delicious and the two wedding cocktails, Crazy Dave’s Old Fashioned and Rhubarb Lemonade were wonderful and flavorful. Our waiter, Kira and David, our bartender, were exceptional and on top of everything. The timing of the dishes was efficiently paced to allow sufficient time in between dishes.Everything was superb, and our guests raved about the venue and the food. Siena: Had a lovely time there on New Year’s Eve. Dinner was delicious! Black truffle ravioli was great. Veal soup wasn’t what we expected but it was okay. Scallops is so far the best of all the restaurants I’ve been to! The filet mignon was overcooked when I cut it open but they quickly had it remade and It was cooked perfectly the second time. We loved both dessert, thought chocolate would be really heavy and dense but it melted in your mouth right away and the flavor and sweetness were just perfect for us. Overall it was a great experience. We stayed for the party and really enjoyed our time there. Will be going back to try their regular menu for sure!

Kathryn O'Donnell: I had dinner there tonight. I ordered the lamb carpaccio. It was absolute heaven! I can not wait to go back for this dish and to try everything else on the menu. When I called to make reservations for 1, they saved me a spot at the bar to watch the chefs in action. This restaurant is obsessive. Very excited to check out the wine dinners they are offering.I finally feel like Milwaukee is growing on me after moving here 9 months ago.

Jason: Lots of wood and brick inside. A giant chalkboard of local farms that support the restaurant is displayed over the bar area. Pretty sure everything on the menu is sourced locally, at least that was the impression I got. This really shows in the flavors.Food portions are incredibly generous for the price. This is the spot to go for morel mushrooms if they are in season.Drinks are great. Nice balance of flavors there too. Main course Trout is really fantastic. This was completely deboned, but presented as whole. Hopefully that's how all their fish is served.Dessert fell a bit short compared to the flavor, creativity and ingredients in the starters and mains. Maybe I just picked the wrong one. Would come back.

The mushrooms served on top were tangy and a perfect pair with the polenta. The trout was very tender and had big flavor. The duck breast and rabbit ragout were also great. I enjoyed the goat cheesecake. I was skeptical because goat cheese can have a strong flavor, but it was perfect. There was a large selection of wine and delicious cocktails. Beautiful interior with lots of warm lighting and artwork. A very welcoming place. I would absolutely return, mostly for that polenta!

Dave Dunn: Last two times I have gone here I have had bad food. Fried chicken livers way over done, and beef shank was dry and tough, variable were under cooked to he point of being raw. And last time I went somehow my bill came out to $168. I had drinks and bought cocktails mix to go, but just seemed like too much after I thought about it. Not sure if I trust restaurant manger, seemed to be playing around with the bill.

Bel: I had a delicious cup of coffee and ordered the following: Mushroom and spinach waffle. Bread pudding waffle with mushroom duxelle, broccolini, salad, feta, truffle oil, poached eggs and smoked shallot marmalade. Looks great....however, my waffle was burned and BLACK on the bottom. Also one egg was hard in the center, not poached. Not inedible, but it could have been an amazing dish if they hadn't plated the burned waffle. The accompanying salad had a very good dressing....love breakfast with some salad on the plate. Great atmosphere and service. I'll be back.

Carmen Garcia Sirera: Amilinda delivers authenticity. There are many restaurants out there claiming culinary uniqueness, but at the end they fall short. Amilinda brings the flavors of Spain and Portugal without creating copycat versions of traditional Iberian Peninsula dishes. All the dishes arw prepared and made to deliver an experience. And thar experience does not end with the amazing dishes. The casual but classy ambience can be experienced from the moment walking in, to sitting in the table or counter for dinner, to the interaction with the wonderful staff. Love coming here not just for special occasions, but anytime we want exceptional food delivered with a wonderful time.

Patricia Gabarra: Delicious as always! I dined in with some friends on Feb 7, 2024. It had been a while, as a don’t live in Milwaukee. Everyone loved their appetizers and enthusiastically shared them - Spanish style. I selected the braised endives and their were delicious and a very light and clever preparation. As much as I love tasty veggies I also like meat. So it was a familiar and comforting choice for me: the pork carcamusa. The serving was generous as usual and the good thing about this dish is that it is just as good if not better as a leftover - YUM. The bartender proposed his Spanish twist on a Mai Tai and it was delicious. Service was friendly and casual and the dining atmosphere can’t be beat if you are looking for charm with a genuine flair of a Mediterranean restaurant. It reminds me of home, Spain, every time. The servings are HUGE, and I've never had a meal I didn't like.Things to know that to me add so much charm:-The menu changes every day, no, you can't see it ahead of time.-It's tiny, cozy, and intimate.-If you want to be seated right when they open, you'll have to join the line outside which usually forms 30-45 minutes before opening. Brandon Newman: Absolutely fantastic! After a long day of traveling and an afternoon walking all around Milwaukee, I came to Buckley’s with my parents for dinner. This converted home has been turned into a fancy-casual restaurant with an exquisite atmosphere. I tried the Broccoli starter, which came with a nice miso tahini sauce that provided a unique flavor. The Buckley Burger was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. The meat itself was so high quality and full of flavor, and the crisp brioche bun and toppings and condiments complimented the burger perfectly. I also had the Lobster pasta and it lives up to how delicious a lobster dish has to be. Absolute class when it came to combining the lemon and tomato flavors with the lobster in a light pasta dish. My Dad also says the salmon dish he had was really good. For dessert, it was hard to choose which of Mrs. Buckley’s items to get. We got the famous carrot cake and the seasonal St. Patrick’s cheesecake. All I know is that Mrs. Buckley doesn’t miss! Both desserts were so delicious and the high quality showed once again. The service was great, too. We were never rushed even with the restaurant being packed. The waitress was very nice, answered questions, and told us a little bit about the Buckley family. On top of everything mentioned, the pricing was very good and the portions were large. Overall, this is a restaurant I trust after my first visit. You can’t go wrong with Buckley’s. 5 STARS!!!!!

To be fair it was Valentine's weekend.I took an out of town guest for dinner and his initial impression was that it was very "fancy". However, after dinner he confessed that it was one of the best meals he had every eaten. He travels for business and eats in many restaurants. He proclaimed that it is certainly a hidden gem in Milwaukee and would definitely return when he is in town.

Bradford Sledge: A thoroughly enjoyable meal before a concert downtown. You have to be comfortable with your chair touching a strangers chair, because the tables are packed in, and all the voices make for a lively, loud atmosphere. Personally I liked it. We started with a caprese salad which was very good. They served good, slightly warmed bread and butter, it comes with the meal but we requested it before the meal and they accommodated us. I had the gnocchi and meatballs which was delicious, my wife had the margarita pizza which was also tasty. Nothing was so good I would purposely travel there for, but a very solid choice if you’re in town at dinner time.

James Heitmann: My friend and I booked a last minute reservation for New Years Eve and let me tell you we were NOT disappointed! The restaurant itself really gives you that boogie fantasy. Our server Josue was phenomenal. He really gave us great recommendations on the menu. My friend and I both agreed our filet was the bets we have ever had. The meat was like butter it was so soft and tender. We also did the trio sides which was a great way to try a variety of side dishes. Dessert was also delicious! We had the Carmel cheesecake. We definitely will come back for future events!

Amanda Hoyer: New Year’s Eve dinner at the Original did not disappoint!The prix fixe menu was perfection with each course building on the next until the finale: dessert: scratch carmel sauce, melt in your mouth truffle and the perfect poached pair with blue cheese. Did I mention the cocktails? Fantastic! Thank you for making the close of 2023 a delish culinary memory!!

Judy Pena: If you are looking for Mediterranean foods and big flavors that you typically would find in big cities like Chicago, Paris or Miami, this place has it!! Have been here several times and absolutely LOVE this place. The lamb kafta is the best I’ve had in the Milwaukee area. Moist, tender and bursting with flavor! The Mediterranean salad is ELITE. Their non-alcoholic drinks are also delicious.Janet was our server the first time we went and this last time. She is absolutely awesome and gives the best recommendations for foods to try! She’s very attentive and has they best calm energy and vibe. Shout out to Janet!!Can’t wait to go back!!!

Erika Pedersen: The only pre fee coursed meal I'd experienced before coming to Ardent was Thomas Keller's Per Se.... Let me tell you, this experience at Ardent exceeded every past "elite" dining experience I've had.Each course was well thought out and beautifully executed. Highlights on our menu were the curry carrot cake and the uni onion soup. Each course held an element of surprise and finesse. I asked my boyfriend to take my back here for my birthday. Everyone cross your fingers!!!!

John Ess: Definitely one of the best restaurants I have ever eaten at in the world. Every dish was fantastic. The food was very interesting, with innovative ingredients. More importantly, unlike some fine dining restaurants, they made sure that every innovative dish was absolutely delicious. Particularly the koji ice cream with brown rice and caviar, the shiitake rooibos tea, and the madras carrot cake. They also made great substitutions for my pescatarian wife. Excellent beverage pairing as well, and perfect portion sizes. Can't wait to come back!Vegetarian options: They can make a vegetarian tasting menu, with great veggie options.

The quality is the exact same you would expect from their tasting menu, the prices are more than reasonable for the quality, and the staff is top notch as usual.The lounge idea turned Ardent from an annual event location to a spot for a usual date night.If you don't at least try it, you're missing out.

Jamie: We went here for our 10 year wedding anniversary. This was the greatest dining experience we have ever had. The staff were wonderful and kind. The food was outstanding. It was cool to see the kitchen plating and have every dish explained. Highly suggest getting the wine pairing. I have never had a drink paired so well with the food. It brought out so many different flavors. Everyone made you feel welcomed and answered any questions we may have had. Overall 10/10 experience. We can not wait to go back!! Thank you for an amazing night and experience!

Justin and his AMAZING colleagues did a fantastic job and the setting couldn’t have been anymore BEAUTIFUL😊I would HIGHLY recommend taking advantage of dining with Ardent in Door County if you have the opportunity!
