Swingin' Door Exchange: what do users think?

Maggie Wampole: Kid-friendliness: My kids enjoyed the provided board games while we waited for our lunch!Recommended dishes Soup, Chop …

mlacour20: and after, I told my girlfriend about sobelmans and had to show her and my word did I miss this place. Came here for the bacon wrapped jalapeno cheese babies but goooooodness it was the wings that blew us away. We got the garlic parm and that was unbelievably sexy. The meat fell straight off the bone seconds after your lips make contact. Will make another trip up there for sure just for the noms.

Joey Runey: Fantastic as always. Cheese curds were some of best. Waiter was on his game. Super attentive. The chicken beast bloody was the bomb.Recommended dishes Pickle Fries, Fried Cheese, The Beast …

Buckley's Restaurant & Bar: what do users think?

Brandon Newman: Absolutely fantastic! After a long day of traveling and an afternoon walking all around Milwaukee, I came to Buckley’s with my parents for dinner. This converted home has been turned into a fancy-casual restaurant with an exquisite atmosphere. I tried the Broccoli starter, which came with a nice miso tahini sauce that provided a unique flavor. The Buckley Burger was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. The meat itself was so high quality and full of flavor, and the crisp brioche bun and toppings and condiments complimented the burger perfectly. I also had the Lobster pasta and it lives up to how delicious a lobster dish has to be. Absolute class when it came to combining the lemon and tomato flavors with the lobster in a light pasta dish. My Dad also says the salmon dish he had was really good. For dessert, it was hard to choose which of Mrs. Buckley’s items to get. We got the famous carrot cake and the seasonal St. Patrick’s cheesecake. All I know is that Mrs. Buckley doesn’t miss! Both desserts were so delicious and the high quality showed once again. The service was great, too. We were never rushed even with the restaurant being packed. The waitress was very nice, answered questions, and told us a little bit about the Buckley family. On top of everything mentioned, the pricing was very good and the portions were large. Overall, this is a restaurant I trust after my first visit. You can’t go wrong with Buckley’s. 5 STARS!!!!!

Robert Whitehurst: A beautiful restaurant with excellent food. I had to sit at the bar because I did not have reservations. To be fair it was Valentine's weekend.I took an out of town guest for dinner and his initial impression was that it was very "fancy". However, after dinner he confessed that it was one of the best meals he had every eaten. He travels for business and eats in many restaurants. He proclaimed that it is certainly a hidden gem in Milwaukee and would definitely return when he is in town.

Steven: Fried artichokes, cheesecake, and carrot cake were particularly amazing! Great service & ambiance too.Prices very reasonable for this high quality of food.

R Elle: , wine and divine desserts - everything was perfect. Carlie and Taylor “had me at hello” because they were both good listeners trying to understand my goals and needs. Buckley’s is higher end and worth it! Call ahead to get a sense of parking. Just amazing & thank you!

Katie B: in the cooking and baking. I had Mahi Mahi on a bed of pasta and pesto. Delicious. Appetizer special was bread served with a delicious cheese and a cheese spread. Just O.K. All four of us enjoyed our meals. Each dish had multiple tastes that came together beautifully. We will be back. Recommend calling to get direction on parking. We heard

Melissa Mondragon: The building is beautiful! The food was perfection. From the truffle fried artichokes to the seafood risotto and the salmon to the tuxedo cheesecake. The sangria had the most delicious combination of spices. This place is for foodies! You will not be disappointed. Ask for Joe to be your waiter. He's exceptional! 10/10 would recommend this wonderful establishment to everyone!

Lindsey Peterson: I've been here with my boyfriend a couple times now. We love it! We have stopped by this bar with some friends that live close. The food was good the one time we actually ate there. And we all like to get the Underdog digestif. There is another one sold at the bar, a bit cheaper, and if you buy 4 you get the 5th one free. The bar is loud, but that is expected. It's super fun if a band is playing as well. Such a fun bar. They also have Hammerschlagenthat you can play at the back if you buy nails at the bar. Funnnnn!

Jenna Wade: . It’s street parking, which can be a pain depending on the time of day and what else is going on in the Deer District but I’ve always been able to find something.

Maia H: . Have fun and get a liter of beer.

Judy Tutles: for me!!! There is a neat paiting of old Milwaukee Mayors from when I was a little girl LOL A long time ago indeed! There is German beer options and other beer and like I said wine

Cheyito: Go strictly for the atmosphere, lots to see and experience. Fun from the start as you have to locate the entrance. The entrance is now manned, as before you had to figure how to get in. Camera there and people watching you inside fumble around. This WAS fun. The person now will ask you for the password so get it unless you want to prove you are not a double agent by doing a task. If ever possible get the booth that revolves so you can make a quick getaway if there ever is any KGB danger. The food is unique but you can't be a picky eater. The flavor of the burgers is okay, the brisket was mid level. The price and portions of food are disproportionate. The servers are friendly but seemed rushed and rushed to get you out.

Daniel Kelley: Service: 5/5

David Sapp: The best vibe, amazing staff and the drinks just make it perfect!

Emily Anderson: I've been a few times at various levels. On this evening we grabbed a drink after a comedy show. This is a classic MKE bar with great service, creative and well-crafted drinks, fun decor and even better patrons. It's worth a stop...even if you just want to look at well-groomed men working behind the bar... You'll have a great time. You will find a conversation. The atmosphere is inviting and I intentionally ordered a fussy drink to confirm they care about their output... they do. They consistently do. And I love that about this place.Fall 2023: consistently great. Chris is dope.

Kelli Butenhof: Fun place for some cocktails. Cheers!

K: Really good drinks!! Fun atmosphere.

Anthony Jones: This bar at North Ave Market knows what they are doing. If you are fortunate enough to get Anthony as a bartender, you will surely leave happy. He is literally an encyclopedia of cocktails….what goes together, what flavors work well, what specific alcohols should be shaken at room temp versus on ice. My husband and I appreciate all of the above and more. His brief lessons based on my questions were like being in a drink making class. Overall, the drinks are phenomenal and the staff, including owners, go above and beyond to make you feel like a friend and not just a patron. Please visit! They are THEE best!

Xo Xo: 👍 They definitely make sure you have lots of fun time when you come here!! 😋They make some delicious drinks too!!🍷 🍶 🥃 🍸 🍺 🍹 🍵 🥤 🍾

Madyun Wilson: I would like to personally thank Brandon he has been a great and professional representative of the Bittercube organization. He made me the most amazing dirty martini I’ve ever seen. I’m privileged that you moved into the north side of Milwaukee, such a cultured industrial atmospheric space. Highly suggest the Heirlooms Crème de Flores. Hours get a little weird but call and they answer if they are open you’ll be welcomed!Updated: Friday July 2 2021 Still A No. 1 Fan ! Picture from today!

A.J. Magoon: Really great selection and good service! Ordered some bitters for curbside pickup and everything was very smooth and easy.

Courtney Ignatowski: Bittercube has such fun and innovative virtual cocktails classes. Each cocktail has it own unique spin on it. You can pick up all the ingredients at their location before class. Brandon & Ira make it an experience- definitely get the Bittercube Cherry Bark Vanilla Bitters!

Jennifer Roberts: An amazing time learning how to make the best Manhattans! A great find!! Great people & products!

Joyce Gardiner: Our bartender William was awesome...suggested drinks...served them with a smile...mixed cocktails to our liking! He also suggested items for us to purchase from the Bazaar! It was a great experience!

Jen Vega: The most amazing cocktails in Milwaukee. Great place in a place I wouldn't have expected. Goes to show you that MKE is truly up & coming.

claudio cortes: Yum to the max

Naomi Cartee: The atmosphere was great. Very cool place. I had the golden beet salad. Less beets than you would think. 😆 I would return to try something else.Went back for brunch on 4/21/2024. Amazing. Best non alcoholic Bloody Mary ever. The brunch risotto was ridiculously wonderful and the avocado toast, beautiful and delicious. 10/10 recommend. The bar staff was less friendly this visit than last.Kid-friendliness: Not really kid friendly.

Balzac: what do users think?

Suzanne Boyd: Balzac has always felt a little overpriced for what it was, but sometimes worth it if that's just what we were in the mood for. However they are permanently closing soon.

Andrea Bartosh: First time visiting and had a fantastic experience! Extensive wine list, delicious dishes, cozy atmosphere, and great service. The "small plates" were larger than expected. A friend and I shared two small plates plus dessert and we were full. The brussel sprouts were fantastic, and the sauce with the pan seared snapper was so flavorful. The desserts also did not disappoint. The chocolate torte and the seasonal pumpkin cheesecake were both delicious. I will definitely be back for the wine and the food. 5 stars!

Brandon: Dined on a Sunday night at Balzac after recommendations from a couple of friends. The menu is constructed around shareable small plates, though there are some bigger entrees. There is plenty of wine to choose from though we didn't order any.We were seated quickly. It looked like there were only two servers for the dining room so I won't hold service against them on this visit. For as many tables as the servers worked, they stopped by plenty of times and were very pleasant. Depending where you sit, tables can be a bit too small and cluttered for sharing small plates. We did our best to share a couple of plates and also ordered cheeseburgers. We shared Peach Caprese and Sac Mac. Peach Caprese took full advantage of Peach season and kept this side simple and clean. I was a fan. The Sac Mac was well sauced and well balanced. Another win. The burger was delicious and straightforward; not an overwhelming amount of toppings. The french fries tasted exactly like McDonald's fries. Unsure if this is intentional. I would've preferred a thicker, twice fried french fry but their fries were not bad whatsoever.Overall, the prices at Balzac are reasonable and the portions fall in line with those prices. The food is prepared simply; they allow seasonal ingredients to shine. Execution was fine. I wasn't blown away by anything I ate, but nothing I had was bad. Balzac strikes me as a simple, reasonable and consistent local restaurant. I left satisfied and my wallet was happy with me. All wins in my book!

manuel miranda: I was surprised by the place, the very good service and the delicious food and the drinks are special.

Jeremy Miller: Classic go-to tiki bar in Milwaukee. Great for the first stop of the night or after dinner.Drinks: Great cocktails all around. I always lean towards the tequila drinks. Some of the cocktails you’ve got to watch out for since they’ll be real sugary.Atmosphere: look at it. Moody and pirate-like. It sets the scene for a good time. Although it is really loud and you’ll prolly have a hard time hearing company.Service: super quick. Order at the bar.

Mader's Restaurant: what do users think?

Stephanie: I came here with my boyfriend from out of town. We were seated promptly. We had our pics taken by Nick the friendly Valet gent. Our server was mediocre. We were surprised that bread wasn't a staple and we had an upcharge of 2.00 for the 🥨 pretzel bread when the dinner plates were 40 bucks a person. We went here bc it was rated high and we are both of Hermanic descent. I am second generation half Bavarian and Austrian -Irish, while my sweetie is Swiss Irish. Our server could have been more outgoing. But the food, atmosphere, and the greeter and valet were otherwise top notch. We would recommend this destination resteraunt fir sure when in Milwaukee for sure!Parking: We had the sauerbraten and red cabbage. It is outstanding. Paid meter pking or paid valet plenty of pking.

Эрик А: Got to skip school while on a trip to this restaurant. Didn't even try any dishes. Freakin' love this place.Update: the waitress is kinda a hottie ngl.I've arrived again, THE WAITRESS IS FIRE!!! I recommend it to everyone.

Ellen Breithaupt: I started with liver dumpling soup, which was delicious, & much to my surprise my granddaughter loved it! I then had salmon from the “lighter side” of the menu, it was delicious, perfectly prepared & served atop red bell pepper flavored spaetzle. My granddaughter said her chicken fingers & fries were the best she’s ever had!Our major letdown was the Apple strudel. Mader’s desserts have been wonderful in the past. This wasn’t! It was apples wrapped up in phyllo

Dave Maier: The long hallway in the back of the restaurant has pictures of all the celebrities that have dined there. Pretty fun to look at.I HIGHLY recommend Maders

John Levine: Bartender is very nice and professional. Will go again!

Benjamin McNeil: around and looking at the details. We ordered small plates as appetizers, and they were fantastic and arrived quickly. The large plates took a fair bit longer to arrive, but all of us cleaned our plates. Seriously, my tiny sister actually scraped her plate clean with her fork and knife. Overall, this was a very nice experience. Prices for food were pretty high, though cocktail prices were a good deal.Vegetarian options: Butternut squash small plate was insanely delicious

Alex G: Great cocktails and good bartenders

Maia H: This is a small cocktail bar, so don't be surprised if you don't get a seat on the weekends, especially during happy hour! Happy hour is 4-6pm and it's half off their specialty house cocktails or draft beer. Our group liked the Wisconsin old fashioned and the negroni spritz the best. The bartender did a good job by herself when it was extremely busy. My only complaint is the music was too loud, we could barely hear each other talk.

Jennifer Fjelsted: Stopped here for lunch and had a great time. The food was excellent and so was the atmosphere. The service really stood out! Our server, Joe, was friendly, attentive, gave us excellent menu recommendations and really elevated our experience. He was also training a new server, Tori, and she was great too! If you’re looking for great food and great service this is the place to go!

Andrew McCauley: We just going into town, and we are looking for somewhere to have a nice drink and a relax. We came across blue bat, and we were very pleasantly surprised. The Bowman was very friendly, knowledgeable about all of the drinks, and also suggested some tasty options. The view from the bar was great, although it was raining and cloudy, we still enjoyed ourselves immensely. If you’re going to come here, make sure you put aside some hours to enjoy the atmosphere and the bar.
