Jennifer Vollstedt: I started working with Katelyn this summer after years of not working out. I was previously athletic, but struggled to get back into fitness because I had unrealistic expectations and would get frustrated with myself and stop. I told Katelyn this during my intake and she’s really helped me make amazing progress and slowly eased in to pushing me harder without scaring me away!It’s so nice to go to the gym and workout HARD, but have a wonderful time because I get to spend and hour with a fantastic person.On top of all of that I had a very unstable shoulder from an old injury. I forgot, and Katelyn noticed right away on my consult and has really made a huge improvement on the strength and stability that’s I’ve been struggling with for a decade.I always look forward to my sessions with Katelyn and feel excited to go workout!

Paul Nowak: Step Above Training is true to its name. The big difference for me is that Dave truly customizes his workouts to your needs. Example - I was dragging one morning and he noticed my walk was different as I walked across the street from my car. He changed our leg workout on the fly so I could mobilise more and then changed the exercise so I would not be injured. Many places just throw the same standard workout at you with little thought or planning. Not the case here. One of the other trainers Eric can often be seen trying new exercises himself before his client gets in. Highly recommend checking it out if you are struggling to hit your goals.

Dave had been a thoughtful and careful planner in that recovery to meet my goals for gradual progress back to an active and fit lifestyle. Sessions are never the same and always adjusted for our longer term goal and any surprise condition I have that day. Through Dave’s guidance, I’ve shifted to a thoughtful, mindful view of movement, stamina, and strength that discards gym jock self judgement. I’ve watched trainers at other gyms and often don’t see the attentiveness and insight that Dave has shown me and others. From balanced overall body fitness to working around temporary injuries, Dave worked as a guide helping me stay surprisingly fit and active. Dave always has a plan. I’m 72 now. Dave will continue to be an important part of my goals for quality of life.

Jack Chamberlain: Trainers are phenomenal and among the best in Milwaukee. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and design workouts based on your personal goals. Everybody is welcome, regardless of experience level. I participate in HIIT classes weekly, and I never leave disappointed. They are challenging with a wide variety of exercises. Dave is always watching to make sure your form is correct, and you are working out safely. I strongly recommend this gym!

I've been training here since Nov. 2020.Nate was immediately responsive to give me a tour of the gym and help me get comfortable when I signed up. Ricky helped me out with his diet and meal planning expertise that I still use today. I train strength and conditioning 4x per week, 2 days by myself, 2 days I train with Travis. He has encyclopedic knowledge of human movement patterns and I cannot speak highly enough of his skills as a trainer. I've had significant increases in strength, can now add way more weight to the bar, and my overall health is at an all-time high.More recently I've started training Jiu-Jitsu with Avery. If you would have asked me 10 years ago if I thought I would be in the best shape of my life at 40 and taking up a martial art for fun, I would have laughed. Huge thanks to everyone at CoMotion for creating such an incredible environment for personal growth.

Aidan Pritchett: Mostly great gym, but I dislike the hours it operates at. Closing at 6:00PM twice a week is ridiculous to me; even the 9:00PM days can be difficult to get to on a work-college schedule. Whenever I do go now, it's before work or just after the gym opens, but I prefer working out AFTER, not before the rest of my day.The staff are nice in my experience, I don't talk to them unless I need something, or as I enter/leave. Most of the members are fellow students, it can be frustrating when they huddle around one specific machine I'm waiting to use but are otherwise a non-issue.Machine variety is decent, fantastic free-weight options, and there are occasionally technical issues with things like the bottle refiller. Prices are on the high side in my opinion if you don't qualify for any of the discounts, I pay $25/month with their college discount, which I consider fair.

And the gym is very welcoming. I get an incredible HIIT workout during Box Bag class. The weekly cardio courses contain fun songs and tough movements. I easily burn hundreds of calories per class. I really enjoy how the cardio classes are designed to isolate all different muscle groups and improvements are quickly noticeable. They also offer strength classes that focus on gaining muscle mass. This gym is motivational and results driven. The owners have created an atmosphere here that is pivotal to the heart of Bay View since 1984. Julie goes above and beyond to show her gratitude to each member by providing a personalized experience and continued encouragement. I was extremely overweight, in my late 60s, and had not exercised for about 20 years. In 6 months, I have NO pain in my joints, my balance and muscle strength have improved a lot, and I have lost a lot of weight. I was too heavy to start with aerobics, so I have been using the gym weights under the instruction of Dennis and Julie. You could not do better than the Shape Up Shoppe in Bay View. I mean it. I feel great!

Paul Kozak: I love the broad range of different exercises we do. It helps to make each session feel unique, even if we're going back to target the same muscle groups. While I still do workouts at home, I never seem to push myself to the same level that my FT trainer will push me. This obviously brings about a more complete and 'proper' workout where nothing is left 'on the table'. Lastly, I'll add that I feel much more comfortable pushing to the limits because my trainer is always watching my form, making sure I'm doing the exercise correctly each and every time to avoid injury and to maximize my results.

Never to a point of breaking me.I had taken a 5+ year hiatus from working out all together before coming to the realization that I need to do something NOW. I simply had no energy to do much of anything. FT appeared on my FaceBook feed and it piqued my interest. I visited the Brookfield facility and the rest is history. I started slow, not really looking forward to going to now, looking forward to my scheduled time every week. All good things happen for a reason.I feel healthy and strong and look forward to growing old feeling healthy and strong thanks to FitnessTogether and Mike, et al.If you are thinking about it, do it. Daniel Rouse: I have been working with my trainer now for weeks and can honestly say, I made the right choice signing up for a training program! For the time I used to spend in the gym, I get just as much if not more of a workout in my 45 minutes sessions with Andy than I would 2 hours at the gym. He's taught me proper techniques, new exercises, and most of all just how to push myself. When I would tweek something, he'd work around it and not let me miss a session. I have seen decent gains, have more energy throughout the day, and feel all around better about myself. I have a feeling after my sessions are over and my family finally moves, I'll still make the drive to continue my training and surpass my goals!

It is a private sauna, that is infra red, and incredibly comfortable.I highly also recommend the personal training by Andy. He is a master at what he does and is able to work with all levels of athletic ability. I have been training with him for over a year, and am in the best shape of my life!Drop any other gym memberships, as this is the ONLY place you need to go!

Having Aesthetically Well and other wellness providers in the same space is very unique and makes it really easy to take care of myself completely! 10/10 would recommend!

Rose Plewa: I’ve been attending Wild Boot Camps now for 1.5 years and it’s made such a positive impact on my life both mentally and physically. This is the longest I’ve successfully stuck with an exercise routine and I don’t see that changing anytime soon. The Wild community is so supportive and I find myself motivated to be accountable to the trainers and my peers. Wild boot camps are a judgement-free zone with knowledgeable, creative trainers that focus on form and safety. We have a new workout plan every class with a good balance of strength and cardio. Each class I can decide if I want to push myself or modify the exercise to meet me where I’m at. The studio is clean and has great equipment. I am so grateful to the Wild community!

Kate O'Keefe: Wild Workouts and Wellness has helped me achieve fitness goals I would have never thought possible ten years ago. The coaches are incredibly knowledgeable, and can tailor small group sessions to meet a diversity of client needs and skillsets. The community and coaches alike are incredibly supportive of and encouraging to one another. Very few things can get me up and out of bed at 5am three days per week. This is the top reason I do so!

I not only get immediate relief from treatments, but long lasting relief because of the customized exercises prescribed for me. The entire staff is friendly and the place is very pleasant.Recently I began working with Robert, a physical trainer. He did an assessment of my physical condition and, as a result, gave me a specific set of exercises to do designed to increase my strength and balance. He is so good at answering all of my questions, and as he demonstrates the exercises I video him while he also explains what he is doing. Then, I workout at home. This saves me a lot of time. I return about every six weeks to two months for a reassessment. Although I've always exercised, Robert has shown me so many things I didn't know that keep me feeling great!

John Summers: Royal and the team at Power MKE have a great program . Balance of cardio, strength and flexibility in small groups that allow the instructors to teach not just manage. Workouts are changed daily with a variety of equipment and tiered so all levels can be challenged.
